      Do you belive?

Stumbled in to this question under the "Jesus wuvs me" thread... Made me think about beife in all its forms...

How do you make somone belive you? what dose it take?

Prove to somone that has not been to your contrey that it exists:

Even if you do manage to prove to a person that has never been to your country that person still needs to have faith to accept that proof. How much proof do you need to accept that a country really exists? That depends entierly on who you are trying to prove it to. Someone might accept that you mearly tell them: I come from a land called Australia! Things are like this and like so over there... Kangaroos and koalas!

If the person has trust and faith in you he/she will accept that what you say is true...

How do you proove to a person that dose not trust you or your friends? Show them pictuers? Give him "facts" about your country? FAKE, he proclaims! I belive you not! For I am part of the trueman show and there is nothing outside these walls but lies!

A very narowminded man I agree. But I think you get my point...

It is the same consept in any situation where the person you are trying to convinse of something that he/she has not experianced... Religion is probably the best example of that...

I'm sure there is alot of countries out there that dose exist but is not part of the universe that you are the center of.

How much of the world existed when you where a little kid?

Now prove to a person that has been to australia that it dose not really exist... Think about that one...

      Fear, usually

That reminded me of something from Terry Goodkind...

      Wizards first rule:

      1#People are stupid:
People will belive what they fear might be true.

Wouldn't it be the exact opposite and anything inside those walls are fake? While everything outside is the actual truth?

      Even Truman recognized this!

How do you make people believe you? Well, I would think with proof via facts and credible sources would do it -- or outright fear, I suppose; whichever you prefer.

That is a very good point. Now lets scale up the truman show and call it the truearth show. Staring every living thing on earth.

To me, it sounds highly unlikely.
      Who would the audience be?
Who would be producing it if they themselves were in on it?
Who's behind the lenses when of the people behind the lenses?

Or were you implying something else?

I'll tell you exactly how people can get me to believe them, and it has been done on many occasions. I have transformed my political views in a single instant, and I have transformed my religious views in a single instant. I am 33 now, and it hasn't happened in a while, but it is still possible in theory. The thing that worked in the past was SOLID LOGIC. If I believe that 2 + 2 = 5, what will convince me that 2 + 2 = 4 is an argument like, "1 + 1 = 2, and 1 + 1 plus 1 + 1 = 4, therefore 2 + 2 = 4. 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 is therefore 4 + 1, which is 5, and five is not 4." That type of response is what works on me. But in my quest for broadening my understanding of the notion of an omnipotent, omnibenevolent creator, these are the types of responses I have gotten...

      - "3 + 3 = 6"

      - "It says right here in this ancient book about burning bushes that talk and the sun suddenly "stopping" and the human race being founded on incest, "2 + 2 = 4"

      - "I accept your argument that 2 + 2 would not be have to be 4, but if it were not 4, then it would be 4." (That is the most common form of reasoning I have gotten in return, and it is the most self-contradicting of all of them.)

      - "I just have the superpower of being able to feel the presence of the fact that 2 + 2 = 4, but you don't. I'm just above you like that."

      - "I already answered your question." (when it wasn't answered)

      - "Not everything is known about the financial documents where the number 5 has been used."

      - "You are a giraffe."

      - "You are just going to believe what you want to believe."

      - "You are arrogant."

      - "Will you stop asking me the question?"

      - "Here are even more lines from the ancient book about burning bushes that talk..."

Every single one of those represents an actual response I have gotten. Which of them actually clear up my issue? None of them! If somebody will hit my issue in direct format, maybe we can get somewhere.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

      You forgot the frequent

"A bathtub full of brightly colored machine tools!" (clearly representing Nirvana's responses...)

I don't want to hear about the brain from someone that doesn't have one.
Nor do I want to hear about evolution from someone that hasn't evolved.

From my experiance (not something someone made me belive) I belive our solar system is one entaty. We can not feel this while trapped in our "eggs". everything on earth is part of a "truearth show" and our system and other systems around it is the viewer. It's all about feelings... The entier earth is conected physicly and spritualy as one...

Basicly that is what I was implying

      Love and respect...
