No.
While Civilization and Religion goes back some 7 to 10 Thousand Years, the systems of belief in Immortality of the Soul are not much older than 2 or 3 thousand years. For instance, the Greeks defined their Gods and Heroes in terms of their Immortality. Ordinary humans were acknowledged to drop dead and stay dead. The Egyptians defined their Pharoahs by their Immortality, and there could only be one Pharoah at a time. Even during the time of Christ, a great many Jews belonged to a faction that argued against individual immortality.
Indeed, even I myself have had certain Angelic Messages which cast some doubt upon any notion of a Universal Immortality. I was told by a very Impressive Angel of God that not all souls would live beyond the grave, and that "Christ is the Life in All Things". This would seem to indicate while Life Itself may be Immortal -- that 'Life Goes On' -- that the separate lives of each individual do not necessarily continue distinctly and seperately. Perhaps the Energy of the Good gets mixed into the Cosmic Christ Energy, to survive in solution with the Collective Energies, while the dark and stinky energies are vented out as an exhaust.
