48-The Rise of Distinctive Consciousness
In the pinnacle of reality there is but only a single state of
consciousness. This is the pure non-dualistic state of being where
only the "I" of the whole of God exists. In this state there are no
other individual consciousnesses that exist, only that which we
refer to as God. There is only the totality of the whole without any
notion of division or separation to give rise to the idea of a you or
a me. In such oneness there can be no you or me that can rise to
exist, there is only one.
It is by the conscious intention of God that all distinctions in the
form of individual consciousnesses have arisen from the whole. It
is by and for the purity of Love that such distinctions are eternally
maintained. Without such intention, Love, and the very intention of
that Love, there would be no distinction. We as individuals would
not exist in any way, shape, or form. By Love and by Grace we are
and continue to be. Such is the foundation of our very existance.
It is the rise of such distinction within the one consciousness of
God that has also given birth to all of existence and all perceived
distinctions therein. It is through that one single intention of
distinction that all things of perception have arisen, that even
creation itself has arisen. Such makes possible the very recognition
of distinctions. Without this rise of the realms of existance and the
perception of distiction arising within those realms, perception of
us as individuals would not be possible.
The rise of a distinctive consciousness from the whole is like the
depths of the ocean being extended up towards the surface, rising
up through the trough of the wave, into the peak, and out to the
very crest of that wave. Each wave in its entirety, from the trough
to the crest, is as a distinct individual consciousness. To us,
trapped in our embodied form, each part of the wave is as a
forgotten tier of that consciousness waiting to be realized.
49-The Crest: Physical Realization
When we enter into our body and begin life in form we begin
attaining a certain self awareness. Through the experiences
brought about within childhood we become physically, mentally,
emotionally, and consciously self aware. We realize that we exist
as an individual.
We process our perceived world from a standpoint of learning,
memory, facts, and figures. We rationalize what is around us
according to our learned understanding. We learn to see ourselves
as individually conscious physical entities, separate and distinct
from each other. Learning of the idea of God, we also take such as
another separate individual consciousness also apart from our own.
Our view of the world is based in the mind and from concepts of
the mind.
It is within this tier of consciousness that we see ourselves
predominately as our body, a body that has a consciousness. In this
state we see consciousness simply as a condition of the body being
awake, while we see dreaming as being a subconscious condition
of the body being asleep. We experience the senses as individual
functions of our body. Hearing, seeing, touching, tasting, smelling,
all coincide with different parts of the body. Through and by these
senses we physically realize the the objects and phenomenon in
the world around us.
We perceive all that we are aware of in a dualistic vision.
Everything is seen as distinct and separate, all things and all
phenomenon. Everything in existence is seen as like individual
marbles rolling around, individually banging around against each
other. Each contact is seen as an individual event based in and on
the concept of cause and effect. We also perceive these events
within the context of time as being distinctly in the past, present,
or future. We see everything as having a beginning, a duration,
and and ending. We see ourselves as existing within this set of
limitations which is the nature of physical realization.
50-The Peak: Spiritual Realization
The heart of all divine teaching is to drive one to look for the
reality and truth of God within oneself. We are driven to turn away
from the material realm of existence and all its trappings to find
freedom in the spiritual being that we are within. It is in this tier of
consciousness that we see we are not our bodies, but that we are
an energy essence caged within those bodies and locked into
material existence.
Spiritual realization sees us shifting our interaction with and in the
world from being led by learned concepts of the mind to hearing
the inner voice, the intuition that is present within all of us. We
learn to have faith in and equally follow this inner knowing, this
inner feeling, this spiritual presence, rather than living strictly by
the learned facts, figures, and concepts of material existence.
In this consciousness we see ourselves not only as distinct
individuals, but we also see ourselves as being in a state of
connection with all others, all things, and all phenomenon rather
than in separation. We see such spiritual union, or union of energy,
not only with all around us but also see such union in and with
God as well. We see that the very same ocean of energy, that is
God, flows through everything. We perceive that we are actually
consciousness that has a body, and that this consciousness is the
same whether the body is awake or asleep. It is only in our
embodied condition, our physical consciousness, that we see solid
distinction from one perceived thing to the next.
In this state we perceive through a single awareness rather than
embodied senses. Pulling back our senses to the oneness of
awareness, we perceive that our bodies, material existence, and
time, are something that we are in, but are not of. We see all of
existence as like being pieces of wood floating on the ocean. The
currents in the ocean carry all the pieces to the events waiting for
them. We perceive a continuous flowing connection between all
that exists and all that occurs. Herein we taste true freedom.
51-The Trough: God Realization
God realized consciousness is as the trough or base of a wave. It is
precisely where the wave itself meets the depths of the ocean and
the water in both are perceived intertwined as though still one. It is
the point where distinction subtly begins. Such a state is where the
consciousness of the whole and the consciousness of the one are in
union to where distinction from one to the other is only a shadow
barely perceived.
In this state of being , in this state of consciousness, one sees as
God sees. One looks out on all that is and though seeing the
distinctions therein, has no thoughts of "I" or "me". One does not
see themselves in the view. All thought, all concern, all intention is
solely directed outward towards what is seen or perceived in ones
view. It is as though the individual distinction one has known since
birth as the "me" no longer exists to any extent as a separate form
or spiritual self conscious entity. One actually exists in this
consciousness purely as thought, concern, and intention, all being
directed outward towards all that is perceived in ones view. The
only real thing that remains perceived of the distinct individual
"me" as it has been, is the distinct embodied view itself. It is as if
you have become thought itself, concern itself, and intention itself
and the body you had has become like blinders on a horse,
narrowing the field of vision down from infinity to just what is in
front of it.
In the state of God realized consciousness the individual has let
go of their ties to, or relaxed their grip on their individual self
existence so much so that it is as if the whole of God reaches out
and intertwines with this individuals state of being so that God and
individual perception are seemingly one in the same. Such is as a
wave being truly an extension of the waters of the deep.
52-Seeing the Unbroken Wave
Experienceing life soley from the physical realization of
consciousness and the physical experience of existance we never
really percieve anything but the crest. As such we are not aware of
the whole of the wave, the whole of our conscious being. We go
through the course of material existance ignorant of the other
hidden aspects of our consciousness.
If and when we do begin to gain an awareness of the existance of
a spiritually realized state through teachings and mental concepts
we see such from a standpoint of looking out at it. We view it as a
separate state of being from our realized physical consciousness
and physical existance. The same holds true for if and when we
gain an awareness of the God realized state . From the perspective
of embodiment in material form both appear to be completely
seperate other states of being rather than simply being aspects of
one whole consciousness. We see each aspect as seperate single
parts of the wave, parts that one must either be in or out of
individually one at a time. Even when we taste realization of each
aspect and know what such is definitavely we still see each as a
seperate thing. We see parts of the wave but we still dont see such
as a whole unbroken wave. We dont yet see our consciousness as
being a singular state made up of the three percieved aspects.
