There's certain things science cannot and will not ever be able to explain. Consciousness is a prime example. Scientists, along with everyone else, have absolutely NO idea how we can possibly be aware of our own existence. Down to the wire, all we are is a bunch of particles and atoms. We are basically physical hardware, like a computer, but somehow we are aware of our existence and have the ability to make choices. The assumption that follows is that we are not actually physical beings, but something else entirely. Can science tell us what we are? No. Also, the proposal of the big bang theory does not explain existence. In order for the big bang to happen, some sort of existing THINGS had to create it. Where did these things come from? Gas and dust just appeared one day? Without a creator, there is the assumption that the universe spawned from absolutely nothing, which is without a doubt completely absurd if you actually speculate on what "nothingness" actually is. Imagine no space, time, or ANY conscious being whatsoever. You can't. It just isn't possible for nothingness to have existed, or not existed, at some point. Our existence is something that is eternal, SOMEHOW it is eternal, and that's what makes it such a miracle. Only an incredible, intelligent, benevolent force could create such a miracle in such a perfect manner. Just look at the sky and imagine the infinite depths of the universe; the beautiful galaxies along the stretches of infinity. I don't understand atheists at all; they look at a beautiful piece of art in a museum and know it is common sense that SOMEONE painted or perhaps sculpted it. Then comes our existence, the most beautiful and intricate thing of all, and they give credit to nobody. For God's sake (no pun intended), it's your own body and existence we're talking about. So the beautiful painting has an artist, but the intricacy and natural beauty of your life does not? So many people are alive, yet so few are aware of the implications that being alive entails.
