Me, beleiving that one of the most mind limiting ideals is religion, brings me to this question.
I don't think releigion is at all the primary source of thought limitaion. Any thing one learns to be THEIR own truth is now potentioally limiting themselves.
Now that I have learned and experienced lucid dreaming to be what I know it to be, can I be an open minded source for lucid dreaming?
If I have been taught to believe that Jesus is Jehova's son, along with many other indoctrinated beliefs from my peers, teachers, family and such. Can I think outside of those guidlines?
Surely I can think outside them but a thought without purpose or limits?
We surround ourselves by our comfort factor. If I am shy (which know one is "shy") I am likely to befriend a similar individual. But I am not shy. I have been brought to believe I am shy, she is angry or he is smart. Albiet some individual traits may bring about some of these characteristics, it is their experience of that particular feeling or belief. It IS subject to change as much as we hate to admit this.
I have been brought up 85% of my life to believe I am backwards. Yes, I have practiced being awkward and quiet for most of my life. What I realize is the truth. The truth that had I been brought up to believe that I am god's gift to this world, I would likely be more confident and arrogant.
Are you a Christian? Or are you practicing and engaging in the thoughts and beliefs of ONE of MANY ideas.
All are subject to change with any given circumstance that a person may find enough validity in to qualify for the reason for change.
So who is thinking outside of beleif? Any of us?
