Thread: Multiple Destinations for Souls

While the aftermath has been generally chaotic, the most inconvenienced deity appeared to be the God of Abraham, who is worshipped by billions of Muslims, Jews, and Christians.

"Ideally, I'd just take all of them in one pile, but there are about a thousand little sects and denominations and all that nonsense that I have to act like I care about," God/Yahweh/Allah said. "Did you know there was a guy who practiced Santeria on that bus? Christ, what a nightmare."

Nice satire but it does shed some light on all the religious BS that tends to complicate things. If only they'd realize that they're all following the same "God", only under different names. Well, some seem to have a "God" born of hatred but - when it comes down to it - most religions aren't all that different from each other. The main differences seem to be in the body of church rules and regulations that each tries to enforce (read: impose) upon their followers.

I know that's an over-generalisation. It's only intended to make a point: that most religions aren't as different as they like to think they are.

I take exception to any other religion claiming that they follow the same God as Christians do. The Christian God is the "triune" God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - the Trinity, three in one, etc. Islam doesn't claim that. Judaism doesn't claim that. They're NOT following the same God, even if they say they are. And if they do, they don't know what they believe.

so Silver, what if their God( you seem to say they follow a different one,like their Gods exist to), is the "true" God? So in fact being a Christian ends you up in Hell, as being a Muslim ends you up in Hell to a Christian.

Well if, hypothetically, that WERE true, It would be a condrum.

Conundrum?
