      If God has always been...

Have the materials to create the universe always been?

Did God just say, "Poof!", then it all appeared?

If it is the latter, then God violates the Newton Laws.

(Sorry for lack of a good topic of recent. I'm learning to be a lifeguard right now, and R/S has been lacking of good topics as of late. I'll think up a good discussion when I'm done learning how to save a dieing person. )

I think it is much more likely that the subatomic particles that caused the big bang always existed or came into existence than an all powerful, extremely complex god.

What I wonder is why it's so easy for many religious people to claim that the universe had to be created by an all-powerful being. Why? If God can always be, why not the universe? Huh? Huh?

According to Mormon theology the materials to build the universe already existed, although I couldn't tell you where that is scripturally off-hand.

God is just the theological extension of repitent existence/ something from nothing theory.

i.e. The prequel to the prequel to the Big Bang.
