I didn't watch it, but to be honest only Americans mistrust Atheists. And maybe middle eastern muslims.
The majority of intellectual europeans and the rest of the world have no issue.
As far as why Americans mistrust atheists, I'd say because of social prejudice and indoctrination as youths.
Yeah he does make us look pretty bad, though people should remember if you don't believe there is a god thats all that makes you an atheist, people act like it's a sect or religious group. but yeah let ben stein speak his own mind about what he thinks, he has freedome of speach, and I was thinking earlier that I might want to see the film just to see if they had any good arguments, I also believe he has a greater message as far as I see from the trailor that we should think and believe what we wish, and I totaly agree. So I think I will agree with most of what he says, it just so happens though that I don't believe in creationism.
heh it's a response to jezuzfreek, who I have been subscribed to for a pretty long time :P
Ya i want to see Ben Steins movie too
Ben Stein is a major expert on metaphysics and biology, considering what a great economist he is.
Skydaddy. Their just being personally mocked because its fucking retarded.
Actually, it is.
I stopped watching when I realized the guy was incapable of forming complete sentences.

The US is exceptionally low on atheists. Minorities are usually mistrusted. Atheists are far more accepted in other developed countries.
I don't understand the chart...what do the %'s stand for?
Oh I see, I failed to look at the legend. Heh, there are the % that aren't there.
There are no Middle Eastern countries on the chart, except Israel. I bet they hit very close to 0%... to avoid being KILLED. I am shocked at how many nonreligious people live in Israel.
No, atheism doesn't do well in the Middle East.
I'm dubious as to where I got the graph from. Vietnam surprises me.
Well is Vietnam still Communist? If so then their going to say they don't allow religion. There's going to be a group of Catholics on south Korea, but i bet most of North Korea is Atheist because of the Communism. However from what we doing in History on the Vietnam War and the few years after. It seems that most of the Vietnamese would still identify themselves as being buddhists, although i don't think they practice it very much, so i guess secular buddhists which the chart has stated as Atheist?
Sweden looks great. (Looks up vacations to Sweden.)
Sweden is also a leader in the world as far as environmental initiatives go. You can get government incentives for allowing green leafy vines to grow up the side of your building/house because the foliage acts as an insulator, and can lower temperatures between two close standing buildings by up to 11 degrees C on a hot day.
They also look pretty cool. :D
If I get out of the U.S., Sweden is the first place I'd go. Definitely.
Yeah, to be honest, it's not at all true that 'nobody trusts atheists'. Only Americans, and that's because the majority of them are idiots.
There's no bias whatsoever in the lovely places like England, trust me.
