Why is it such a big deal to humans as to why we are here, who brought us here, and when we came to be? I follow it loosly, but all I picked up is my own set of guidelines to life.

Curiosity.
And thinking is fun.
Evolved.
Also researching on how we were created can bring scientific discovery which can be used in the present.
Because people wonder.
I wonder too, but I was just wondering (um...not related) why it is almost a worldwide concern, this over most other things/topics
I think it's because we are too conscious for our own good.
These questions speak deeply of the foundations of who we are. As a creature with self awareness, human kind bases its security largely on its knowledge of itself and its origins. To call in to question someone's beliefs about who they are and where they came from is to (possibly) undermine their sense of security on a fundamental level.
Why? For me, because I want to get as much out of my life as possible, thats why I'll keep searching until I die.
If you don't find what you're looking for then you wasted your life looking.
Hehe. Cause without wondering what shit is and what shit is true, we wouldn't be at the top of the food chain...=P
