      Stupidest Apologetics Statements

I don't know if many other people here follow the debates between the atheists and Christians much, but if you do, post here the dumbest arguments by a Christian/Jewish/Muslim/Atheist apologist you've heard.

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach: when asked what God literally is, as in what kind of energy or entity. "God is he who fills the infinite expanse of space, he who is the origin of life, the absolute moral authority to determine right from wrong, he who hears my prayers when I cry out, he who helps out the helpless, he who I am angry at when he fails to look after the helpless, God is he who I have a relationship with, I have a right to challenge him." (At this point Hitchens interrupts and says the moderator asked for white noise and he got it).

Dinesh D'Souza: "Atheists have nothing to hold them back. Even in the Inquisition, the inquisitors held back, even if to a small degree, when torturing because of their fear and belief in God."

I know there are other people here who have seen apologetics speak, let's see some quotes (stupid quotes by atheist apologetics are more than welcome as well).

The statement you quoted can be defined by many branches of psychology.

It's stupid to laugh at something if you can't debunk it with appropriate evidence to those that you let judge you. 8D

"A young man who wishes to remain a sound Atheist cannot be too careful of his reading. There are traps everywhere -- 'Bibles laid open, millions of surprises,' as Herbert says, 'fine nets and stratagems.' God is, if I may say it, very unscrupulous."

Haven't you ever gone outside and looked at the trees?

RELIGINUT: My breast cancer went away without a doctor.
Tracie Harris: Really? So you were diagnosed with breast cancer?
      RELIGINUT: Yes.
Tracie Harris: So describe to me the events that happened.
RELIGINUT: Well one day I felt a lump on my breast and I was to afraid to go to the doctor because my mother went through breast cancer so I praid to God. Please god heal me. I went to sleep and when I woke up the lump was gone. No MAN had touched me.
Tracie Harris: So what your saying is you self diagnosed yourself and then it got better?
RELIGINUT: No I didn't self diagnose myself.
Tracie Harris: But you said you didn't go to the doctor.
RELIGINUT: I didn't self diagnose myself anyone can tell when there is a lump on your breast.
Tracie Harris: Ok, that is what you call self diagnoses, but what I'm saying is people get lumps all the time sometimes I go outside at night and I come back in with lumps from mosquitos.
RELIGINUT: Listen I didn't call into argue with you. *click*

Pick a rose for someone, give it to them.

If the ask what it is for, say it is for them.

I am also going to add among the most largest logical fallacies when it comes to morality with religious apologetics; is, the statement that atheists cannot have morals.

This is a ridiculous statement in and of itself, because all factions of religion will claim that their religious belief is the foundation of morality. Yet, all religions have their own definition of what morality is. Not only different religions, but also different denominations of that religion.

So what view is correct at this point? The Catholics, the baptists, the sunnies, the sheities(spell check doesn't have that shit), or..... is morality a completely relative abstract object?

Morality is an evolutionary concept that was created by man. So any religious apologist who tries to explain morality is going to come to a dead end. In my opinion. Peace
