      Religious nut makes ridiculous predictions

      I would like to say if anyone were to come across these links on a youtube link or anywhere else to not believe what it says.They come up with some calculations and uses references such as the web bot to claim their story true. It pretty much is a guy (group maybe) obsessed with 2012 trying to make claims to fit Christianity together and make us think 2012 the end of the world.Now this is some major bullshit.I don't even think the guy that made these websites is a real christian.

      I find all these messages very forceful and don't really believe any of their claims(sure they occasionally use bible scriptures,but it's all just to make you think it's legit)just take a look at the one where they say the destruction of (one of the middle eastern countries)takes place during fall 2009.Well i think as time goes by all of these false claims will be proven wrong.

      People have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years now - and every time the date comes and goes and nothing happens.

      It's just fundie fear mongering to try and scare people into belief/submission.

      ...I...um...wierd...what can you say to that?...

      Things like this give Christianity a bad wrap. Most Christians I know aren't like this (in fact, only one that I know of is like this, but he dosn't count because I don't really know him).

      Watch as we live through another Armageddon crisis. Do you guys remember June 6, 2006? That was HILARIOUS! There were online bets over wherter or not the world would end...how would you collect your winnings if you bet that it would end and it did? The world is full of extremist nuts who give the rest of the spiritual community a bad image. I laugh at people like this, shake my head and move on with my life. If the end of the world were to be tomorrow, do we really think that if we did a whole ton of good things today that it would make much of a difference. Go on with your lives citizens! Sheesh...

      although this is true eventually someone will get it right no?

      its like the boy who cried wolf lol when the wolf came nobody believed it...

      makes you think, maybe one day some nut will coincidentally predict the real end, lol he would feel so confident he predicted it himself.
      I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.

      In the Christian faith, the Bible states in thessalonians....
      1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

      No one knows when the end of times will be. No one knows when Jesus will return (based on the Christian faith as well)

      As it was said, Jesus will come like a thief in the night. No one will be expecting him. Say this stuff was true and they picked a date and say it was the date Jesus had planned, I truely believe it would be changed. No one can predict the end of times or the returning of Jesus.
      I didn't watch the videos so i hope i'm not flying off the wagon here.

      This happened in the h2g2 TV series actually... the guy just ran away.
