      A question to anyone who has researched Anton LaVey

      Been looking into Satanism recently. I tell you, there's been more deceptive bludgeoning against this man than anyone flipping else. So many myths.

      One of the legends is that he supposedly had some kind of epiphany on his deathbed and converted or something like that.

      I have heard the same bogus thing about Charles Darwin and so I wonder that this could be some more dishonest religious propaganda. However the internet will give me zero answers or reliable sources to whether it's true.

      Does anyone here actually know? Just out of interest? If it was true it would be extremely ironic.

      That's untrue, and so is Charles Darwin's confession.

      Satanism gets a bad rap because of obvious reasons. But LaVey didn't even worship "Satan" as many people would think. In his system of thought, Satan is simply a metaphor for man's tendency toward self-indulgence.

      I can imagine.

      It was nice for God to give him the supposed revelation at the end of his life rather than earlier so that he wouldn't have written his books in the first place. Way to rub it in!
