      Experimenting with Dymaxion sleep schedule.

I've decided to post my experiences through this schedule. First off, I'm a college student and also work, which is why I'm trying this schedule over the uberman's. I don't want to work my way up to this schedule. I decided I was just going to try it as the last time I have slept was from 9pm last night til about 12am. I'm just going to write my experiences through this and try not to oversleep. If I actually succeed at completing this schedule and feeling refreshed every time I might keep on doing it.

So for now I've decided (works best with my schedule) my sleep schedule will go as follows:
      06:30-07:00
      12:30-13:00
      18:30-19:00
      00:30-01:00

I'll record what happens after today is over with. If you have any questions or comments throughout this experiment, or even helpful tips (as I have never done this before) please post them.
      Thanks

EDIT: Messed up the initial times of sleeping.

Ok so I've realized I won't be able to start this schedule until the weekend because of work. So until then I would really appreciate any helpful hints if you have tried this previously. Thanks.

It's called polyphasic sleep, it seeks to eliminate non-REM sleep by shortening core sleep and implementing several short, equaly spaced naps during the day. It works on 2 concepts: 1. most of your actual rest occurs during REM sleep, enough so that you can get what is basically a full night's rest on a night's worth of REM only and 2. when you wake up, you have "leftover REM", if you sleep again within about 9 hours you will fall directly into REM sleep.

That's basically how it's supposed to work. I don't know much about it other than that.
