Sounds like an awesome research topic. In my opinion I think that basic things you learn would transfer over to waking life. |

The project is based upon the fact that you can take a skill or something you have learned from in a dream and apply it to such a thing in real life. This would be the basics of climbing something or many others things. Some knowledge may transfer while others may not. |

I'm trying to find to see what dreams have a skill which I can start out as my first test and i'll find ways to do another. |

Which skills are you going to practice? This study could certainly help speak for the practicality of lucid dreaming and has a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to hearing your results. |

After my first day skying, I dreamt about it, and found it much easier the next day. I also recently found my hacky sack and was much better again after some sleep. |

I've been creating music in my dreams lately and I plan on trying to recreate those instrumentals in real life using one of those digital audio workstations. Does that count? |

Interesting, I was wondering when I would find this research topic here. I did see on TV once that the majority of our skill learning and muscle memory comes from our dreams. This is probably because, in my opinion, we are in lower brainwave states in our dreams and acting out real life situations in our dreams reinforces real life events much more than in our waking brainwave states. So I do believe that one would be able to learn new skills given they applied the normal laws of physics and they had background information when they went into the dream and practiced that skill. |

I've been meaning to see if I could do this with guitar but I haven't been having many lucids lately. I already know how to play fairly well so it would be interesting to see if I could break through any boundaries in my playing while in a dream. |

157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.
