Experiment: Is this world the same as the dream world

Yeah, I have heard of OBE cases where a person actually moved a box in front an audience, but Aquanina's post presents a better one because it involves scientific instrument that captured the presence.

What I think is that we do not know nearly enough about the dream world to dismiss this idea based on reason.

There is an interesting story about a psychic who could go out of body and perform a task, a fairly advanced one, for example to let a spouse of a person know of their whereabouts.

I think that there are myriads of possibilities out there, and that there are different types of philosophers, some that think till they get a headache, and some that experiment. I having the idea that there are tons of unexplored possibilities, am the experimenter type, dont get me wrong I also think. To me these unexplored possibilities are the most valuable treasure.

Obe might be real, but all serious scientific experiments that have been done have turned up negative. Another thing that speaks against it is that no one has got Randis 1 million$ price yet.

One thought to be taken into consideration is that thoughts in general may have more power than we allow. i have a theory that if we believe or try to mentally project to an object (no matter how obsurd it sounds), that it could also give a similar but possibly weaker reading to the "ghost hunting machines". To an extent, I think thoughts are in themselves, more than just a figment. My only possible reasoning about why dreams or obe's have more effect would be that we BELIEVE we can do it more in dreams. The correlation has yet to be proven, but it should be considered. Also, may I also bring Quantum physics back into this? Those who doubt, can you even prove that this world is not a dream by itself? Or that it even exists? You can't prove it. :D Don't worry, neither can we.

I have actually thought of this as well. Geez, everyone on this site is stealing my ideas. Could you imagine it actually posting?

HAHHAH, I had a dream where I did this a week ago. I had an LD where I was on my computer and I thought of this thread and posted, then I FAed a little later and had a non-lucid where this actually worked and my mind was completely blown.

It didn't in my dream, I think I was talking about mooses. And dreamviews looked different, like a combination of this forum and another one.

That is not an experiment. That's a major misunderstanding of science and dreams.

Total downer. What if dreamviews has some super mind reading beam that auto posts things you post in dreams (Just kidding, I am very knowledgeable in many sciences and electronics). But still, why not try it? What's to lose? What if some people's beliefs are true (including mine) that dreams are different areas of existence, maybe wireless frequencies can be transmitted between these areas and we can actually browse the web from our dreams (that would be freak'n cool).

Try it in an OBE/AP, OBEs are hard for me but if I get a chance I will try. with OBE/AP it just might work.

In reality we know a lot about dreams and why we dream and how etc.
Just not what you want to hear.
Which is evidenced by the fact that you said dream world and not just dreams.

No we don't. For example how does messages get passed from real world to dream world? And how do prophetic dreams work?
The ability to view real world items in an OBE/AP which you have never seen before, and later confirm that they were real.
There are still too many unknowns.

The idea that the dream world is a "spereate" world has little to no evidence to support it. The idea that the dream world exists inside our heads has a lot.

Messages get passed from the real world to your brain through your senses.

Prophetic dreams work through people becoming aware of something subconsciously(in waking life) and then that info is made conscious during a dream. Little bits build up then culminate when the mind is free from other sensory input.

Do you know of any specific instances of OBEs where people were able to do this? I'm very interested in them but haven't ever been able to find a solid case where people where able to actually know that they were having an OBE and not just a LD they thought was one.

What would you do if scientists found proof that dreams are just created by your brain, solid, undeniable facts?
Would you still say "well, they don't know enough because they haven't proven OBE's are real!" ?

To leave a post on webs while in dream or out of body, later viewable by all here, I think you need to be astrally very focused and in tuned with the physical level, and that skill seems to take a while to learn for most people. When surfing the webs in our dreams it's usually a very subjective "copy" or version of the one we experience in this shared world.

That's my belief.

that is already occuring; the self bridges using recall

we are testing astral projection with telekenisis...

I've traversed spiritual channels with information transferral, and by metaphysical connection been able to affect this universe from within a dream. It's something my lover and I seriously consider and enact.

Any chance u could have affected my universe ? Had some really trippy stuff happen to me while i was reading one of ur posts :p

A few weeks ago, I had a FA where I woke up and wrote my dream down on DV. When I woke up, the DJ entry wasn't there.

This is an interesting experiment. Technically speaking the universe is a big system of information. From what ive read at this point (in books and research) The dream world seems to be like another "layer" of reality. If a person is a very experienced lucid dreamer/Astral Projector then its possible that they could figure out how to do it- although it would take quite a bit of time, maybe even years.

So, has anybody tried this yet? All I've seen in this thread is just pure speculation.

I did in my first lucid dream. But as soon as I turned my computer on I started getting sucked out of the dream.
