A supplement test
Yes I will be combining a multitude of supplements together every night to see how this affects
Recall , vividness and if there is an increased number of LD's than normal.
Now obviously everyone is different so these results aren't to be taken to heart but will be a nice thing to read upon if wanting to see some research results.
Now since I am combining these supplements there is no way i can tell you which is best to take with which, which on its own, and which isn't so good to take, I am simply taking a mix of what I've read to be useful and testing them in a sort of....sleeping cocktail.
The supplements will consist of
Nytol (herbal) tablets - which per tablet contains 200mg hops, 160mg of valerian and 130mg of passion flower - i will be taking 2 per night.
a vitamin B complex - one per night - it has nicotineamide (i heard nicotine patches help so maybe....)
multiple other substances and 2mg b6 1.6mg b2 and 1.5mg b1
I will also eat 2 table spoons of peanut butter per night
1 banana
1 glass of milk
1 cup of herbal tea (green if possible)
I will not drink caffeine or alcohol i do not smoke and i do not do drugs so no other things can interfere with "results"
I'm not sure if anything will cancel each other out.
i will eat all of these 1 hour before i go to bed
So let the fun begin.
If you want to reccommend any other things to add into the mix then hey - let me know
although i cannot get hold of galantamine or choline despite me hearing how good their results are.
day 1: Multiple dreams - more than normal so better recall i guess, but i ruined that by going back to sleep before making a DJ entry - so my lack of dedication to my DJ stopped me from getting down these dreams :) remembering fragments of the dreams i think they were slightly more vivid than normal. definetily a bit more bizzare

you can't get choline? why not? Everybody can at least get choline! It's a vitamin, for God's sake! Do they ban vitamins in UK? As for what you are doing--even if you have the best mix in the world, unless you take days off--like every other day at least--the tolerance factor will very quickly kick in and by day, say 4 or 5, you will cease to notice any difference.

Just couldn't find it in the shop i would imagine certain food suppliers add it to their foods just don't really look into general foods that much.

it wont let me edit anyway. says i can only edit every 1440 minutes - not edited for like 3 days now.

It seems to me that you are taking way too many supplements to be able to accurately pinpoint which one is effective or which one is not. For example I take melatonin, and know that if I take melatonin with food, this causes the release to be extended, causing me to spend more time in bed. If I take it on an empty stomach, the result is different.
Consider this graph: April 29 is melatonin alone, May 3rd is melatonin +2 apples +3 tangerines. The latter combo caused me to spend more time in bed and get 50 minutes less restful sleep

I've been taking valerian + 5htp + melatonin +b6 a long time ago, and once again, it is very difficult to distinguish what works and what doesnt, so I ended up trying the same combo on multiple nights. How can you adjust your experiment for it to be more controlled and verifiable?

It's not a REAL experiment like i said in the thread "since i am taking multiple supplements there is no way to tell which one is working" if they help - i will continue to use them regardless of which one helps and which doesn't B vitamins are healthy to have in my diet anyway so adding them in will help me in my waking life too.
The nytol may help me during nights of insomnia too.
the milk and the banana's because i like them.
If i was going to conduct a real experiment i would have to eat the same foods every day at the exact same time and go to sleep and wake up at the same time everyday and use exact amounts of each supplement to get a serious set of results.
I am doing this casually - besides since i dont want an effect of diminishing returns on the stuff so it doesnt work eventually anyway i decided it best to do it when i have the time - i am unable to update my posts anyway since i can only update once every 24 hours - it bugged and now i cant update at all even though my last edit was 3 days ago :(

I'm keeping a log but will be doing a collaboration at the end of the experiment, starting for May 1st to 30th. So I'll post my results at the end of the month :)

Ok details on your experiment?
