CWILD technique
CWILD is my made up name for a lucid dreaming technique. It stands for Caffeine & Waking Induced Lucid Dreaming. To participat in this experiment, simply try the technique and report the results, whether or not you attained lucidity.
Here are the steps:
1. Read the tutorial here on the WILD technique. This is very similar.
2. Follow the instructions there up to the point where you wake up from your alarm.
3. Instead of just staying awake for a while, fix yourself a caffeinated tea beverage. You don't want too much or you won't be able to fall back to sleep. I recommend half a cup of tea with no sugar (sugar could have it's own effects). A caffeine pill would be even better (since you would have to urinate later), but probably too strong.
4. Go back to bed and continue to follow the instructions for WILD.
5. Lucid dream???
This worked very well for me even not following the WILD instructions fully. Although the lucidity was unusual. You can see an example report in my dream journal entry for July 13, 2005 (~page 3). I'll try again soon and post here.

Is this for those that not manage to stay awake when they lie in bed?
Because for me(BTW i dont drink coffie) who have problems getting to sleep as it is would mean wakie wakie all night long.

To be honest, I have already tried that technique because the tutorial here already mentioned about taking caffeine during the waking time before one does a WILD.
My experience was not so good. I just laid in bed for about an hour, not feeling tired, mind racing hence causing insomnia and restlessness. The tutorial here does mention that you have to find the right amount of caffeine. Maybe my coffee was too strong. I will try again tomorrow--this time only drinking half a cup.
