I broke my clavicle (collar bone), I got a plate put in, and I'll be getting it taken out soon. I want to possibly get lucid while I'm in anesthesia/sedated. I know propofol-based anesthetics are the most likely to allow you to dream, but what should I ask for? I remember when the put the plate in the guy said I had a choice of what drugs he'd give me. Not sure if he meant the anesthetics too.
IF you're going to be on any painkillers afterwards i would highy recommend MORPHINE my god shit in a bucket that stuff is incredible for dreaming, i had a collapsed lung and after an operation i was on highest dose for my weight for about 4 days and it allows you to just go to sleep when you feel like it, you hallucanate occasionally and your dreams are incredibly vivid and best of all STRANGE. If you went lucid on morphine i would be jealous. I need to damage myself again quickly (just kidding) ;)
Since you'll be having a plate put in then maybe they'll allow it and they hand out morphine pretty easily anyway so you'll probably be on that anyway unless the operation in minor then you get basic shop bought ones, perhaps mixed with codine, yet tbh most bone operations etc you'll be on morphine since they cut deep in and cut a lot of nerves.
Not sure what they use when they put you under for the operation but they use something to put you to sleep very quickly so you can be operated on in minimal time, so if you keep your mind awake shouldn't be too hard, if you get your REM sleep before you go for your operation then maybe.
