One of the frustrating things about Non-Lucid Dream Recall is how inconsistent the organization of dream imagery can be on some nights. Where some dreams follow a distinct thread where characters reappear, locations change progressively, and the general storyline is coherent and perhaps even meaningful; others are more chaotic - characters shapeshift, locations appear different upon each visit, and feature nonsensical path through the dream world. We are talking about dreams of course and this absurd quality of dream imagery is not unfamiliar, but if both varieties exist there must be a variable that controls them. There must be something that operates the organization and cohesiveness of dreams.

What I'd like to do is investigate this in regards to things like nutrition and stress. There may be other factors to discover along the way, but I first wanted to propose the idea to the DV community. Do you notice a difference in dream organization from night to night ?
