I noticed something dring my lates mystical experience:
Whenever I look at one place in front of my eyes, or STARE would be beter to say, and at the same time Focus my Attention on something that is in my peripheral vision: This Object will start ''morphing'' and moving strangely sometimes even ''disappearing'' completely. I mean: keep your eyes' Focus point steadily on 1 poitn in front of you, while keeping your Attention on the Object just in the corner/edge of your field of view.
Also I have often found that while focussing my attention on the object at the edge of my field of vision, the POINT at which my eyes are actually focussing is so ignoredthat I cease to see what's in front of me and only see the object in my peripheral Vision: I can see how doing this often might improve your ability to Focus attention while completely ignoring Perception of the senses, in this case the eyes.
Ignoring what your eyes focus on, by shifting all your attention on the object just on the edge of your Vision can be a great way to learn to Ignore random thoughts while focussing on another thought. (Lucid Dreaming for instance?)
It's simple to try. Can anyone else try this and post here what they experienced?
