As the end of any month nears, I like to look back and see how often I managed to lucid dream. After looking at April's results, I thought I should take a look at March's data as well. What I found was that I am twice as likely to have a lucid dream on a Saturday or Sunday than I am to have one on a week day. Of course, this makes sense because, more often than not, I am able to get more sleep on the weekends, translating to more/longer REM stages. I'm just curious if anyone else has recognized this trend.
Sorry if this has already been discussed. I did a search of the more obvious terms and was not able to find a similar thread posted recently.

Haha, I totally sleep in every Saturday and Sunday. I'll wake up, think to myself, "Hey, if I sleep in for half an hour more I bet I'll have a cool dream", and fall asleep again. Then I wake up and the cycle repeats until I can't bear the thought of sleeping any longer.
I don't lucid dream often, though, so I can't vouch for having more lucids on weekends.

SideNote: Your avatar rocks. Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater seems to agree.

Do you know where that image comes from? King Crimson's first album - an album that most early heavy rockers recognize as the beginning of it all. It's called The Court Of The Crimson King.
That being said, I had far more lucids on weekends when I was having a lot of them. The odds were way better than 2:1 over weekday evenings. I always attributed that to sheer exhaustion.

The first time I saw G3 live, in Montreal, Eric Johnson was myseriously absent, but d'you know who they had in his stead? Robert Fripp!!! Isn't that the coolest thing ever?! Next time I saw them was with Petrucci, funny huh?

VPhydeaux_3: Very cool. Hard to argue with just about any scenario you could come up with involving Satch and Vai. I didn't have a chance to see them 'till the first G3 tour that they did with Petrucci. I caught the show when it rolled through Houston. And guess how surprised I was to learn that Billy Gibbons was available for the show's finale. The lot of them playing the baddest assed rendition of La Grange I could have never dreamed of.
