Has This Blind Study Been Done Before?

I was just sitting here thinking and I came up with a interesting idea, but I don't know if it has been done before.

Experiment:

Imagine gathering a group of people together, and just telling them the definition of Lucid Dreaming, nothing more. Just the fact that it is the ability to become fully aware and awake, and control every aspect of the dream.

If they ask "How do you do it?"

Tell them, they need to figure out a way themselves, without knowing any information that we know about WILD, MILDS, RC's etc.. you get the picture.. A blank mind, only a definition to go by.. Who knows, they could come up with some interesting ways to induce Lucidity.


What do you think; has this been done before?

Actually, I think they would come with the normal Techniques, Luminous told me of someone who came with WILD from natural SP. I knew nothing of techniques and came up with DILD and gravity RC. Then again it sounds like a cool thing to try, so might as well induce some more people <.<

I had an idea vaguely like this, about (~lying) telling people who just discovered lucid dreaming that basically everyone gets an LD the night just after they learn about it (for whatever reason), without the need for any techniques or anything. This would be just as a sort of confidence thing; I wonder how many of them would actually get results.

(found this out before i even knew what lucid dreaming was)

it takes a lot of willpower to not think ALL THE TIME.

That's the one technique I came up with before coming here too! While I would go to sleep I would try to think of nothing and get great HI and sometimes LDs.
