"Oh so I do dream in first person" I've said that in a lucid.. countless

normally it's first person, but sometimes it feels as if I'm watching tv, and I don't really exist at all.
I very rarely have a 3rd person dream (though it happens).
It's usually in first person and looks very realistic. Hmm... sometimes colours are more vivid. Emotions are definitely stronger.
I mostly dream in 1st person but sometimes in 3rd person. Its like I'm just sitting back, watching someone else doing stuff in the dream. I guess thats what happens when you watch too much tv and play too many computer games. :D
I can sometimes be views 1st person, 3rd person and sometimes like an omni-present view which is like third person but other a much wider area. I've even looked through 2nd person, like I'm viewing from the character that I'm interacting with but controling my own actions. Usually it is third person though.
That's a really fascinating question! Come to think of it, I don't really remember how I 'see' things in dreams. I don't remember actually 'seeing' anything, but I do see things and perceive things. My dreams are just like waking life, except that they are more absurd.
Interseting. I had a very vivid LD last night, and I realize that I do see in 1st person a lot more then i think.
im allways looking trought my eyes, never seen myself in third or some other view while dreaming. Doesnt matter if i am lucid or not.. but after waking up, i somehow know how i looked, and how the whole picture looked from 3rd view, even when i draw a sketch from the dream it is ofc from 3rd view.
I had another Ld last night (yes!) and I actually controled a minor charecter for a few seconds, adn was able to control said charecter. so, I've seen in second prson now.
I also experience first and third person perspective, but there is another one that I haven't seen anyone mention yet. Its like a third person view, but I am completely detached from any of the characters, and sometimes there are no characters at all, just a scene. In these cases, I have no body and am only experiencing the dreamscape. I guess this still counts as 'third person' but I also have dreams in which I control a character but I 'see' the whole thing from outside the body, which is what I normally consider to be a third person perspective.
very interesting. Any others, Anybody?
I'd say about a third of my dreams or parts of my dreams are in the third person. a third in the third lol. but anyways i notice i switch multiple times or sometimes not at all. My one lucid dream was in both at different points which is funny cuz it happened all very fast. And often even if i'm not seeing myself i still feel like im in third person. like an aerial or even panoramic view. When writing down my dreams i can sometimes recall stuff from all 360 degrees even if my focus during the dream was on something specific to one area. Dreams sometimes seem more like books where u can read more into things and experience a wider range of perception at once.
Like almost every one else here I mostly dream in first person. Though sometimes I will have an awareness of what is happening that is not compatable wirh a first person view, like being able to follow an arrows flight from the side while still seeing through my eyes. The closest way I can explain it is to say I'll have another pair of eyes with a different vantagepoint.
I also sometimes have erd person view. But something I've experienced that I don't see anyone mentioning is a top-down view off events, like in an old videogame. I've only had a few dreams like this, but I persived them as being in 2D.
As for remembering them, upon waking I'll remember events as experienced in the dream. But later, while reading my DJ for instance, I'll remember the dreams as consepts and some still pictures (like an overview of the scene or a face). Something interesting, though, is that I sometimes remember actions from dreams I've had days, weeks or even years earlier in a dream. I've even continued old dreams before.
As far as I can remember, I've never had a dream in first-person; they're all in either third-person or completely cinematic, following a multitude of characters from many different angles. Sometimes they're even like a documentary, with commentary, narration, and thoughts from an unknown voice, along with connections to media and information that does not exist. Very strange.
Normally, in a dream, lucid or non, I see through what I feel to be the "eyes in my head", I mean, it literally feels like I'm seeing in my head. ;3
But normal dreams are more like memories...
Anywhom, in one of my most annoying dreams, where I dreamt about pretty much every dreamsign I viewed myself in 3rd person... Still not lucid D:<
