Thread: Hogwarts Dreams: A Dreaming Project

I had a really long, really vivid lucid sex dream involving Lucius Malfoy, thanks to Galantamind. It was so incredibly hot, but I won't post the details in this thread it's so not PG-13. I've also visited the Mirror of Erised and used a few various HP spells. I have a few more HP-related LD goals that I would like to accomplish eventually, but have forgotten about them since lately I've been more into visiting Pandora.

I've watched all the HP movies probably at least 50 times each btw. I love them all. Have you seen #6 yet?

I remember having a couple dreams where I was Harry Potter, and fought duels. I was lucid, I think... heh, I remember thinking "Damnit, what are all the Harry Potter spells I've read about?", when only Protago sprang to mind.

I haven't seen #6, sadly... I plan to remedy this soon.

Right. It's been a while since I've read the books.

#6 focuses so much on the romance it's like twilight with wizards. It gets really annoying when they leave every single part that made the book good out. not one portrait, not one staircase, barely any class time...

Ok I just found this thread today and had a dream last night that heavily featured Harry Potter stuff. In it I had a wand and was a wizard. I was at my house and I couldn't really remember any of the spells except for accio. I had always liked that spell in the book and I was using it like crazy in my dream. Instead of walking over to my coat on the floor I used accio and it sprang right into my hand lol. I and some other wizards were kidnapped and sent to an island where some evil guy there forced us to be on quidditch teams. There was more to it but this was the basic summary of what happened. The accio spell was really cool though I hope I get to use that in another dream!

The Harry Potter universe keeps cropping up in my dreams, it's always great fun. Here's a selection of my faves:
I fight off a bunch of death eaters with the spell "boom headshot"
I fight Voldemort in a subterranean arena. (Kicked his ass)
Voldemort creates a zombie apocalypse, then chases me.

Sounds like a great idea. I'm gonna watch all the movies tonight on DVD and get some great ideas from them. Then maybe I could graduate from my seventh year and have my own adventures in the Wizard World. Thanks for the idea. It's genius.

Thank the gods that there are other people who are gaga for HP in the dream world! I often have non-LD's that follow Harry Potter storylines, and they are by far some of my favorites. More recently I had a dream in which I had a wand but didn't need to use the traditional spells with (yea, I'm that BA of a wizard), I just had to flick the wand and it would do what I wanted. Since then I've been able to become semi-lucid several times and pull it out to do things in mainly non-lucid dreams, like move objects while sticking to the original plot of the dream.

I never cared for the films, but the books changed my live when I was young. HP was my role model!

Ooh, I need to have a dream like this. Sounds awesome, I think I'm going to build a portable Hogwarts teleporter so I can get there from anywhere in a dream

I've been dying to try something like this as well. In my third lucid I actually tried to go to Hogwarts. Unfortunately I got too excited and woke up. Since then, my lucids have been really short because I keep getting too excited. I really need to work on that.
I agree that the world JK Rowling has given us is amazing. I would love to explore it, especially with a continuing timeline. I'd probably hang out with Harry's dad first though. The Marauders seemed like they had a lot of fun. XD I would have to try out for Quidditch! I'd love to be a chaser!
I wonder if it'd be possible to work on extending the time of the dream so that you could spend a week or so at Hogwarts when you were lucid. I'm still new at inducing lucids, never mind stabilizing them. So once I get the hang of that I'll have to give it another shot.
Aside from Hogwarts, I'd really love to go visit Pandora, maybe join the Fellowship of the Ring, and even tour with a band. There's just so much I want to do!

Well I have only ever had one Harry potter related dream. I was just hanging out with the actors from the movies sadly no magic. Though I have used Harry Potter spells in non HP dreams

i always have dreams about harry potter :/ i am really in 2 the books and read them all about 4 times ea and am in the middle of reading the 7th 1 for like the 10th time..
i had a dream the other night that i was running from death eaters inside hogwarts with ron and hermonie

I dont like the 7th book for one reason and one reason only otherwise its an alright book.

Tonks and Lupin are my two absolute most favorite characters to ever be in any book ever written they are even above gandalf. The beginning about them was great I was so happy that my two favorite characters got together and then.... part of me died inside when I finished the book. actuallly two parts of me died one because of what happened and the other because I realized I just read the last one.

Being a deep fan of Harry Potter, I am very interested in joining you in this project. If I'm not wrong, this would be something like a RPG, but just in the dream world. Perhaps we can even go to the extent of shared dreaming in the HP world.

Ok, as far as actually doing this I'm totally in, but what exactly are we doing? Just attempting to each have our own continuing storylines, sharing them with one another? Or are we attempting to create one unified story, each entering into it on our own. Because that almost seems beyond dreaming, but remains totally awesome, and in which case I will whoop your arse in a broomstick race (I just learned to control one well a few nights ago).

The dreams will not be separate entities, rather, if I purchase a new broomstick on one night, then I will have it the next night. You see? If on Monday night, in the dream, it is announced that the Triwizard Tournament will be starting in three days, then in my dream on Thursday night I would expect the tournament to commence.

Here is the essence of it… I don’t merely wish to have a whole string of unconnected dreams located in the Harry Potter universe, I actually wish to in essence create a whole nother reality, to entertain me at night in my dreams.

That is very much possible. I once had a military battle that lasted several LD's. Or well it was not only fighting it was like, fight a little, then retreat to camp, repeat until end. But still the "story" lasted for several LD's, eight to be exact. But if it will work for, lets say, a year, i cannot say.

I've wanted to do something like this ever since I learned about lucid dreaming. I want to try this with other series and movies such as One Piece, That 70s Show, Fight Club, etc.

Right now I still haven't gotten a grasp at lucid dreaming but as soon as I do and delve into the HP world I'll be sure to come back to this thread and post what I did!

This is an amazing idea. I remember one dream I had (which became truly epic) about HP. It was a school trip to Japan and we flew on the bus to Hogwarts. We were sorted into houses in the great hall and all. c: The dream skipped and I ended up playing with a bloger and the ball landed by Draco, Crab and Goyle. I was in Gryffindor and pretty tall just like in real life. Fun fun fun.
It would be purely EPIC to have a dream RPG series like that.
