Lucid Changed My Life
Well I think there are a couple of angles that you can look at this.Quote:

Lucid Changed My Life
In a round about way the act of lucid dreaming is not a cause but rather the learning and process of lucid dreaming that has made me more aware of my everyday, waking life, surroundings.
It has also made me more open minded.
Now the other way has been debated up and down around & around. Can Lucid Dreaming practices effect your waking life habits?
All the things you had mentioned in your original post I believe are obtainable.

• Overcoming fears.
• Increasing ability to lucid dream (by asking DGs, reading books, watching videos)
• Increasing mental awareness/concentration/memory/visual awareness/reaction time/etc.
The last one, I think, is the most interesting. The possiblity of increasing these things is feasable, and will help one to recognise people/names better, remember tasks/anniversaries, think quicker, memorise things more efficiently, or simply being more aware of one's surrroundings
The problem is that no-one seems to have experienced these, or at least not mentioned them as far as I am aware. Surely if they had it would be a breakthrough in psychological science and understanding, as well as practice, and would many psychologists or psychiatrists not wish to get involved themselves? I suppose the latter are too sceptical to care, but in the case of the last suggestion (• Increasing mental awareness/concentration/memory/visual awareness/reaction time/etc.), this would be an evolutionary advancement in science if this were monitored and recorded!
This is what makes me doubt its plausibility, yet also enhances my desire to attempt it myself. If no-one has managed this then it is probably due to simple laziness.
I wonder if La Berge has ever explored this area successfully?

Seen frequently in the Forum as ETWOLD.
Got it. And it doesn't mention anything about this (well, not in any research depth anyway) ... unless I missed that page?

Try the Lucidity institute. They may have some information on some of their resarch. Maybe?
Lucid Dreaming: A Concise Guide to Awakening in Your Dreams and in Your Life is LaBerge's other book and it seems to be more of what you're looking for. If you click on that link, it'll take you to the book's entry on amazon.com where you can browse through the first 15 pages or so (including the table of contents).
Cheers for that.

EDIT: Sorry on the gender mixup :P
She. :) But yeah, the little chemistry bottles evoke fond memories of old mad scientist movies... and a few of my own *erm* interesting experiences in the chemistry labs.
SO! You were the one behind that research project that went astray and [government censorship invoked]Quote:

So what are you trying to accomplish White Shadow?
I have read that peolpe create a room that they visit opon becoming lucid. This room sustains a high level of lucidity and people have proclaimed to pratice speeches over & oever and their golf swing.
I'm experimenting with something right now.. i'll be sure to post the results.
