Elon Musk revealed SpaceX's next version of the Dragon capsule yesterday. It can carry up to 7 astronauts and can land on the ground by utilizing 8 SuperDraco engines with landing legs. It retains parachutes as a backup, but now there will be no need to land in the ocean.

It's some real futuristic shit that makes me really happy.

It makes the Soyuz capsule (which only carries 3 astronauts) look like caveman technology. Speaking of which, NASA may have purchased its last round-trip tickets (good through 2017) from Russia aboard the Soyuz rocket.
