Is HIV really the cause of AIDS?

The YouTube user C0nc0rdance has some very good videos on the subject, and I'd definitely recommend that you check them out. Though he can get a little heavy on technical language, his videos are incredibly informative.

Ok, so I spaced out halfway through the second video, but I appreciate these videos. Very interesting. On the one hand, the quotes from I listed above are from very credible and knowledgeable people, more-so than myself. And on the other hand, this person that made the videos sounds like he knows what he is talking about, and is in agreement with the status quo, but the technical language, like you said, is very heavy and can either indicate that he knows what he is talking about, or that it gives the illusion that he knows what he is talking about to someone like us who just have to take it on faith either way. I have heard of people getting HIV but never developing AIDS. Also, I do not know who the perth group is.
I don't know what to think, either way both sides have good arguments. Perhaps we will have to just wait and see?

So um. How many people have developed AIDS and not had HIV...?

From what I gather, they are claiming that the drugs they use to treat HIV is what causes AIDS. I don't know if anybody got AIDS that didn't have HIV, but supposedly people have gotten HIV and never developed AIDS when they forgo chemical treatment but rather keep their immune system strong. I think that they are claiming that some people have cured themselves of HIV and test negative for it now. I also think that they are claiming that they have not isolated a virus that causes HIV. I don't know enough about it to have an opinion, but I find it interesting if that is the case. They say that more and more scientists are agreeing with them. I don't understand it enough. Perhaps it is one of those things where we will wait and see. However, the videos posted by Catbus refute this theory, but they do it in a way that is hard to understand. I would like to see one of these respected scientists and these peer reviewed scientific journals address the points. Unfortunately, it is not a big priority for me to research right now and form an opinion. Maybe tomorrow, or next week.

I find the claim that it's the medication that's causing AIDS ridiculous.

I was staying at an orphanage for a while with kids that were HIV positive, but it has only
been a few years since they even got the medicin (very little funding, very expensive drugs).
Before that, it was a hospice and all but one of the children that were tested positive died.

Now, since pharmaceutical companies allow for third world countries to get some of the
drugs as well, the kids can actually lead normal lives, or at least not different from the others.

Interesting. I really should research exactly what the science is that they are claiming. I will read about it today.

Anyone claiming that there is a controversy in HIV-AIDS connection is ignoring a very simple and well documented fact:
anti-HIV medication(drugs specifically targeting HIV virus) reduces incidence of AIDS.

HIV has been found in virtually every AIDS patient.

The website is wrong. Luc Montignac got a Nobel prize for isolation of HIV. And there are more recent publications of HIV isolation and diagnostics if you don't trust the ones from the 1984.

Well, that is good to know.
The website actually claims that either scientists haven't found HIV virus, or that it is a harmless virus.
So, we now know that they have isolated the virus.

Yeah, the website is full of documents from as recent as April 14, 2010

The video goes through it, and even address how animals have similar viruses are able to overcome it. The reason why not all people with HIV gets AIDs is because the immune system is able to fight off the virus. In other cases, its just a slow moving and the average time to develop aids is over 10 years.
