Heh, you never cease to amaze me, doc...you practically pull a new funny pic out of your ass everyday! The mind boggles...O.o
Beh! The SATs...F the SATs. You know, St. Lawrence just recently dropped the requirement for SAT scores. The SAT is bogus and dumb and should never have been conceived in the first place.Quote:

That said, so what DID you get? :P I'm sure it was way higher than mine...
i got 1610/2400 (it's the new sat)
if i were to subtract the writing section of the sat, (which was the old sat), my score would have been 1070/1600
it's not too bad compared to some, but when im surrounded with super smart students in my AP classes i feel stupid :blue:
Yaaaay we don't have those in Canada :)
yeah i didn't do too hot on SAT's, somewhere around 1190 :( (old sat i guess)
but i rocked those ACT's baby, had my pick of colleges on the west coast. :chuckle:
Same here...my SAT score wasn't that great but my ACT score go me a scholarship into one of the best design schools in the country. Strange.Quote:

I didn't take the ACT, but I got about a 1200 on my SAT. Only took it one time. However, I always planned to go to the University of Montana, not some ivy league school. I'm happy with what I've got now.
I think the SAT in general is crap. (I wanted to say "moot" but that didn't fit.) It shows a person's ability to take a test, but beyond that isn't much else. Standardized testing is silly and just another way for the government to tell us to be like everyone else. So don't feel bad. :) A lot of colleges take medium-level scores over high scores anyway so that they don't hurt anyone's feelings. (between you and me, my sister only got about 900 on her SAT and she was still accepted to two colleges)

i told my dad my score and he's really proud of me for some reason. "I actually thought you would get below 1000" (excluding the new writing section). gee thanks dad
my sister also got a 1200 ame! i still broke 1000 (excluding the writing section, blah im so used to the old sat scoring), so i still have a chance at college XD
I haven't taken the SATs yet (I'm going into high school next year) but I'm going to prep like HELL for it... yeah know, like starting in sophmore or freshman year. I hope to get high on them. My sister got like, around a 1300-1400 on the old SATs when she took them.
Oh man...I just got finished taking them (8th grade)
I managed to fall asleep DURING ( as in while I was still taking ) the math section...I doubt I did too well :|
And I have absolutely no idea what you are talking - abouuuut.
the sat is a test that we give american children. the children are supposed to learn how to corrupt foreign worlds with materialism and bureaucracy. the act is the test that teaches kids how to rape and torture cultures from around the world. the tests are similar but different kinds of people excel at different tests. duh.
They're out of 2400 now!? As Damascus once said, "Holy fucktard!"Quote:

Oh...hmmm...well, you still got higher than me (I got a 1030) ^_^; but oh well...like the prom, that part of my life is over...
Don't feel stupid. Period. ('Cuz you're just not. I know stupid people when I see them :P)
Well, I haven't taken the SAT. I don't plan on leaving the state until after I'm finished with college. We don't need the SAT in KY unless we go out of state. I just took the ACT for my second time last Saturday. I was not happy with the score I got in October when I took it....( I got an 18...I feel SO stupid!). I'm hoping to have raised it a few points......I'll take it again, if need be, but I studied intensly for this one. I hope it payed off.....
Not only will I take SAT's, but a WASL too. It is required my year for graduation. This is also the first year it is required.
For some reason I had always thought Jessica was in college already. :P
:chuckle: (I'm going home for that this weekend)Quote:

To those who haven't taken the SAT or ACT or whatever, don't panic. Just relax and do your best and you should be fine. A lot of people fail tests because they believe they're going to fail..... (and some people fail tests because they didn't study.... or the teacher was crappy)
