Not all of us are perfect, some of us need to improve in order to become something capable of achieving our dreams. For instance, my dream is really, really ambitious. It requires I work at it every day. It requires I work hard and don't take any needless breaks. I have a skill, I exercise this skill. When I procrastinate (popping onto DV for some debating, for instance) I am losing the battle between me and what I've set for myself to do. When I smoke weed before I've gotten my shit done for the day, the same thing happens.

That's what I mean by the Daily Battle. You won't even notice it if you only intend to get by in life. There's no train-wreck rock-bottom incident for pot-heads. They just don't amount to what they could have because every single day that they choose pot over their dream is a piece of ground they give to failure.

I somewhat agree with this. Everyone needs down time as well though. So as long as you don't fully give in to whatever the distraction is, it's ok.

But on the other hand, some people get motivated by smoking Cannabis. And they'd do stuff they usually couldn't be bothered doing.

For sure. A friend of mine is a qualitative researcher and she smokes pot all the time to freshen her eyes for reviewing the subject matter so so she can find connections. She also quits smoking for like 4 weeks a year though, which I don't do. I smoke a bowl every time my daily pages are done.

It has productive effects on me if I manage it properly. I hesitate to make a big show of it here (can't you tell, haha), but it's fairly obvious to me by now.

I wish to join this argument but I doubt the quoted was being serious.

That being said, subconscious attentiveness is the telepathy theorists refer to when they say human kind was telepathic before language developed. The natives of Australia retained this ability because they did not develop the desire to be dishonest. This is what Mutant message claims, at least.

But anyways, I don't see why telepathy has to be mutually exclusive with subconscious attentiveness to subtle facial gestures.
