I didn't say it was true.. I just said I didn't make it up. Comprehenderstand? Stop expecting seriousness in a thread not to be taken seriously in a subforum definitely not to be taken seriously. Though, it's not hard to see this happening.

The article is a bit dated, as medical technology will likely get people to about 150 comfortably even by 2100, but I could definitely see that happening; technology makes natural selection a CHOICE, rather than a necessity, for survival. We don't need to have stronger bodies to survive, but people prefer larger breasts, more attractive facial features, and intellect, and "naturally" select those traits in a partner! (And those who select a partner for sex and sex only get what they can find eh?)

Or, we can take all the embryos, and have them genetically engineered so that when they grow up they are all super sexy.

Just cause someone writes a scifi novel about it does not make it a theory.

When has that happened with any species? This theory is ludicrous, it promotes some defined line that will never exist. There will always be a ladder, dumb people trying to be with smart people, ugly people trying to be with better looking people, etc. Not to mention some ugly people are more than clever enough to get laid without being NASA-bound.

Do you ever see any species split off between lesser evolved and more evolved? The short answer is no. Evolution refines the species as a whole or causes it to adapt as a whole. The only time species split is when they migrate or face some other kind of environmental change (or theoretically through intense selective breeding but that would be like passing a law against mixed marriages)

..can we not just say that anyone who can't afford/raise children, not make any!? Or is that too obvious, logical, and beneficial to the survival of mankind and every other living creature?

But children bring income and help keep the home.
