Really... 'either' sounds very wrong to me.
Would only that my eyesight would survive the encounter.

There are bigger problems we should not ignore,
like cereal or milk, WHICH ONE GETS FIRST POUR?!

Anyway they're both wrong. I'm not gonna argue which one could possibly be correct when obviously neither are. My work is done here.
I should just be glad you didn't somehow confuse yourself there into saying "obviously either are."
