      You suck! D: *flame*

I like her because she's a nice person and supports lots of stuff like animal rescue shelters and the LGBT community. Her music is okay, it's not amazing but it generally has a catchy beat which is enough for me when I'm in the mood. (They also make for some good remixes.)

Well you're entitled to your opinion. There's not a lot of music I don't like.

Alright then. I can relate 100% to both of you... somehow.

      It makes sense.

I've posted this before in another thread, but it's much more appropriate here:

      Zanger Bob
I could go on and on and on but I don't want to make you cry.

Music has evolved to be less poetic and instrumental, and more about bass or computer-generated sounds. If it's catchy, great, but anything can be catchy if someone experiments with beats and melodies on a program. It takes talent to play an instrument as well as some bands. If lyrics are used as a filler and are repetitive, the artist/record company will not get my money. I find that Ke$ha is very repetitive, for example and I could do without songs like "Moves like Jagger". Sure, they're fine for dancing or background music at events but I don't listen to them voluntarily.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Believe me, there are different levels of talent with the bass and computer-generated sounds, too. And there's a difference between something that's catchy in the way that I'll listen to it on the radio for a couple weeks before getting sick of it and catchy in the way that I could never get tired of it. However, in my opinion, you don't get into the good stuff unless you're in the club scene (like, the ecstasy club scene) or at least actively follow its music. I started out listening to lots of old songs and things like alternative rock, then I started going to clubs, and now I like how a lot of the current radio songs kind of blend the two styles. Repetitive lyrics aren't really an issue if you're coming from the far end of the scale, club music is about the "instrumentals".

I guess everyone will be amazed to know that I can last the whole of "Friday" without feeling like killing her.
