      So... Daylight Savings Time...

      Something tells me that this question is very stupid but I'm asking it anyway because I've been wondering every time daylight savings time happens.

      So as you all know, during winter, days get shorter. So we do daylight savings time. But we move the clock one hour back. So lets say the sun sets at 6:30 in winter. Now because of daylight savings time, it sets at 5:30.

      So why would be make the day EVEN shorter now if its getting shorter to being with? It doesn't make sense to me. Am I missing something... >_>

      We push the day earlier in the morning so the sun still comes up by 7 rather than 8

      Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

      I think that's the idea. I'm an early bird, and take one of the first busses out. The sun is still up now; before it was already pitch black. However, by December 21st, it's going to be dark again.
