Chill Factor
How many people really understand what a chill Factor is. Using Fahrenheit if it were 30 Degrees outside and a wind started to blow causing the Chill Factor to be 10Deegrees. Would a thermometer in the wind read 30 or 10?

well no matter what i read, windy or not, it would be accurate. Last time I checked, people weren't invulnerable to wind.
In the cooler times of the year the weather report talks about it every day. So I was just wondering. How many really understand what the weather man is saying?
i do!
... sorta like the thing that you should keep your clothes on after a storm on a boat even if they are wet with cold water... your body eminates heat, and if naked then that heat gets carried off by the wind. If you are wearing clothing, then the heat gets somewhat stores in the clothes so you STAY warm, not GET warm. Chill factor. Way chill!
Probably nearly everyone that has watched the weather on at least a few occasions. It's really nothing that is hard to "get".Quote:

Actually the end product is what affect the wind has on your body. It causes your body to lose heat at the same rate as if it were that temperature. Not the actual temperature.
.
no freakin shit buddy. It's nice that you just learned that this week or something but *nearly* everyone out of high school, and heck alot of people in high school, know what the heck it is..Quote:

but hey if you really want to be a smart ass about it, it's not called the "chill factor". It is called the "wind chill" factor. "Chill factor" was a 1999 movie, and possibly something you might consider doing... chill.
this doesnt really help anybody but...Quote:
