Questions, Questions, Questions!

I'm not sure if you guys have this or not. If there is a questions game, then please lock this thread, thank you!

Most people like to talk about themselves and state their opinions, so I will post a question here every day or so and we can all answer the question and discuss. The questions can range from favorite color to best restaurant to who was your favorite school teacher. If anyone would like to suggest a question, you may do so.

Please keep it clean and let's not flame anyone. I'll try to keep the questions simple and generally unrelated to hot-button topics.

What would be your ideal "perfect" day?

-Wake up early after having a beastly chain of 3-4 lucid dreams. Write them down on Dreamviews DJ. Maybe a bit of meditation.
-Have fresh chocolate chip pancakes, a banana and hot tea for breakfast.
-Ride my bike up to my Taekwondo class, teach my kids class, go through the adult class, come back.
-Have my friend S pull up in his bike with C and A. We all go ride to lunch at pretty much any place that's not a fast food restaurant (I don't care)
-Go back to S's house and do art with my artsy friends for a couple hours. Maybe play a few rounds of Halo Reach or something on break.
-Go home, rest on the sofa with the cat on me and reading or writing something.
-When it gets dark, Bust out the old 80mm and look at Jupiter and the full moon.
-Long, hot shower and bedtime.

What superpower would you have, if you can have any?

The power over inconvenience!

Stuck in traffic behind the garbage truck? Garbage truck magically disappears.

College bookstore charged you twice for a book and you have to go in and speak to the manager on a monday morning? No you don't, not anymore! You got charged once, for how much that book actually cost to print. ($4.99)

Guy in the parking lot of the Taekwondo studio crashed into your car? Your car is magically fixed, and so is his! No dealing with insurance, repairs, etc!

Are we out of Frosted Mini Wheats again? Have to go to the store before I can even have breakfast. Nah, just reach into hyperspace and grab another box.

Iphone violating the law of conservation of energy and already dead, magically fully charged just by thinking about it.

Illustrator just crashed and you lost five hours of work? When you open it up, your work is saved right where you left off.

Inkjet out of ink? Turns out your neighbor just bought the wrong cartage for his printer, but the right cartage for yours, and they're coming over to give it to you for free.

*not that I'm speaking from experience with any of these...

However the power only works on small-medium tasks.

You can't like magically graduate college, get a job, get married, etc. You still have to work for that, to prevent the power from being abused. The power just makes the big stuff easier by smudging all the little annoyances along the way.

How did you first discover lucid dreaming?

To be honest.. I dont remember. I must been dreaming it!:D

I remember how I first discovered lucid dreaming. So I had this huge crush on someone and sometimes had dreams about her. I wanted to have more dreams about her because it felt awesome. So I went online and searched up "How to have a dream about someone." Most sites didn't tell how to have a dream about someone but I noticed how a lot of the sites brang up the word "lucid dreaming." I was like "What does that mean?" So I thought lucid dreaming is probably having dreams about someone. But then I searched it up and found out what it is and became interested and started learning more about it.

Kinda weird:

When I was 12, I kept having a dream that I was late for school. I got fed up with the stress it was causing me, so I told myself that if I was ever late for school, I was dreaming. The first time it happened, I HAD ACTUALLY WOKEN UP LATE FOR SCHOOL and thought I was dreaming. You can imagine my parents confusion when I was completely nonchilant about being late to class because I thought it was just a dream. (Especially since I hadn't complained about the dream to them.)

So that evening it was a lot of explaining that I'd been having this annoying dream for months and was fed up with it, so I had told myself that any time I was late for class I was dreaming, since it had never happened in waking life, and just as my crappy luck would have it the exact day I think to try that would be the day that I'm actually late for class. They were surprisingly understanding of that explanation. (Apparently anxiety dreams run in the family.)

The second time, I actually became lucid and destroyed the school in the dream by making trees grow out of it everywhere so that I couldn't have the dream anymore. For whatever reason I thought the destroyed the school in the dream world would be permanent. It wasn't but I became lucid a couple more times and stopped having the dream. Kinda funny that I figured out my own induction method.

I had a few lucid dreams over the next few years, but it wasn't until I was I was 15 that I properly began learning lucid dreaming when I first learned about this website and read the techniques.

I was looking at ways to manipulate my own mind in high school. (improve concentration, reach nirvana etc.) I eventually found a site that listed numerous free isochronic tones for a variety of purposes. While browsing, I came across one that apparently helped with lucid dreaming. Unsure what it was, I looked it up. Had a lucid dream my first night after reading about it.

Sunrise or sunset?

sunset.

The last flickers of the day are the most beautiful.

That's kind of a hard one.. Sunsets are more beautiful, but I have to go with Sunrise. That feeling of a new fresh day!

How did you discover this site? What was your first impression of this site?

How I found this site? It found me.

Typed in "lucid dreaming message board". This was the first result. First impressions were that it was a decent community and far better then most boards I visit. Still holds true even now.

Any big plans for this June?

No.. June and I didn't match.. But I stil love her dearly of course. July and I are going on our honeymoon together however.<3

I've started going for short runs in the morning. Wanna see if I can keep that up till the end of the month, see how I feel and re-evaluate.
