      Rock beats everything.

A recent forward that I enjoyed. My apologies if it's old news.

I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, & I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no fucking way Paper can beat Rock. Paper is supposed to magically "wrap around" Rock, rendering it immobile? Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class? I'll tell you why- BECAUSE PAPER CANT BEAT ANYBODY! A rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds. When I play rock, paper, scissors I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper, I punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say "Oh shit, I'm sorry- I thought paper would protect you, asshole."
"This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time."

      Re: Rock beats everything.

Because rock underestimates paper. It's all like, "I can smash that n00b scissors any day of the week, what does this pushover -- AAHHH PAPERCUT!!!" Bam, rock's dead.

      Paper wraps around grass.
      Joint renders rock's thrower incompetent.

      Don't fuck with the paper.

lol, whenever my friends and I used to play this in grade school, one of us would always manage to manifest like a god figure or something that would automatically win. Then you'd always have to come up with something that could beat god.

"oh yeah, well, then I''m god times INFINITY!"

That's a great one, Brady.....My brother and I used to include dynamite in that game. It was kind of pointless, since dynamite beats everything.

Paper in its ultimate form is a tree, which can fall on a rock and crumble it. But the scissors can be stuck in the tree and cut it up, and eventually, scissors could completely chop down the tree. Good luck doing that with a brittle rock. What would win a fight between a fairly easily crushable rock and a redwood?

So I guess the name of the game should be "Tree, loosely screwed scissors that can still tear up a tree when in two pieces, brittle rock that can still smash apart loosely screwed scissors."

      It's just an expression...?

That blurb is funny, though. Sounds distinctively like a Maddox rant snippet...

Oh man, Dangerruss, that was nice.

Rocks and minerals are the raw materials in making scissors, as well. So rock is beating paper vicariously.

Rock, Paper, Scissors is one of the many great ways to make important decisions without actually having to choose. Like deciding whether to go to class or just skip it and stay in the bar drinking with friends. And its much more interesting and fun than just flipping a coin. For all we know there could be world altering decisions made simply by a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Bush and one of his top advisors used it to settle their dispute over whether or not to invade Iraq.
