The Beyond Dreaming Section....
....is not, in all honesty, a section I read very often.
I find it a tad annoying
Now it seems to me (this is a bad move, I know - flaming retribution will follow this post, I'm sure) that the section is infested with posts about how a demon invaded your mind while dreaming and made you dribble on your pillow
I was sitting in bed last night, looking at my wall calender
trying to work out what time I needed to get up the next day, cause I was out on site.
I was tired, it was about half eleven, so it required a fair amount of concentration to step through my morning journey backwards
got to be on site by 10:30
that's half hour tube journey (10:00)
hour on the train into london (9:00)
15 mins walk to station (8:45)
half hour to shower and dress (8:15)
etc.
now, as I was doing this - all the time, staring at my calender - it fell off the wall, and plopped onto my legs
whether it was fatigue or what, I don't know
but the first thing I thought of was "wow, post that on DV in beyond dreaming and I'll have people convincing me my FHM calender is possessed by a demon"
I found this quite funny
not ball-achingly funny
but that wonderful, long fairly-funny where your grinning stupidly about it for 10 minutes, letting out the occasional audible chuckle
now, I don't know why it fell off
it's hung on one nail, that isn't very well hammered in
(plasterboard stud wall)
such is life, I suppose

That's why Beyond Dreaming is there, to organize such things into an easy to browse forum. Like you, I do not go in there often, I perfer to stay in the dreaming forums.

Same here!! I am much into helping the newbies, & learning as much as I can about LDing., Plus some of the stuff in there can be rather frightening (I am kind of thanatophobic), so unless it is on something like DSing, if there is a fight going on, & I must stop it, if the topic really is on something to do w/LDing/SP, if there is a newbie intro'ing himself/herself, or if I am mentioned (and even then, sometimes I steer clear), I don't enter there as much as other areas (like senseless banter, my DJ, the 'view unread posts' area, maybe seeing who is online, if splash is online, I am usually just PMing her the whole time, and sometimes the newbie zone [in case the DGs are busy at the moment, & I can greet them]).
