Here's a simple formula for the exact value of PI:

(PI)^2/12=1 - 1/4 + 1/9 - 1/16 + 1/25 - ...

Here's a way to implement computation of PI.

start: n=0; y=sqr(2)-1; a=6-4*sqr(2);
repeat: {n=n+1; y=(1-sqr(sqr(1-y^4)))/(1+sqr(sqr(1-y^4)));
a=(a*(1+y)^4)-y*(1+y+y^2)*2^(2*n+3)};

very efficient algorithm as it gives 694 digits of accuracy after only four iterations

1) e^(i*PI)+1=0

This is the most beautiful equation of math. It is truly transcendental, combining all five of the most important in math into one equation.
