I peddle drugs to little school kids
I cook food for trust fund babies, pill poppers, and anyone else who doesn't know what to spend their money on.

I'm an LVT - see my profile.

then I switched to opera and now I'm a mom (but as soon as the little booger is in school, I'm HELLA-gonna be singing again)
Over the past 20+ years, I've done just about anything and everything related to computers. I'm currently working as a programmer for a company that makes Time and Attendance Systems.
Err.....high school student.
No one will hire me, for whatever reason.
Might be a waitress though, have to check into that.
I wish I were a private chef! Better hours and money. I'm a line cook. It's just that the community the restaurant is in is mainly comprised of new money. I sometimes help out FOTH and get to witness the people that come.Quote:

What kind of establishment were you a chef at? Why did you change careers? (Not that I REALLY need to ask. Ha.)

nothing like rich folk and how they want their food =/
I worked as a line cook at EatZi's in Dallas (it's an italian restaurant basically, with a whole lot of other crap :P ), then I switched to their catering department because it was 'better pay'Quote:

anyway yeah, yeah, singing is more fun, but it didn't pay THAT much more lol
at least when i was a chef I had benefits...
Well, it depends on where I'm at. At school I work as an office assistant for the foreign language department.
Here at home, I work for the school district in the tech department doing routine maintenance on phones and upgrading the database.... which is really going to all the schools and cleaning the phones, then making new labels to replace the ones that have been written all over. Then I check our database for accuracy and add a bunch of numbers that really seem useless to me. Oh, and I work with/for my mom... which isn't that bad, but still. I see my boss when I go home.
Ugh...speaking of work, I have to go back

im going to go to school to learn computer science
LISA you should like find me a bangen recipe for some prime rib ive looked everywere for a good one and they all suck
I am an independent motion graphic designer... I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY good at programs like after effects (of which I own a legal copy of), I keep my eye open for trends in motion graphics (its an obligation, but trends must be met), and I am only 15 so I don't charge much.
My mom won't let me get a website, however, so its IMPOSSIBLE for me to get hired by people that need movies made. Unless someone sees this message, Hire me! Please!
I paint houses. Green, red, brown, reddish brown, I do it all. If I ever get paid I'll be supplementing my income by taking a page out of Ynot's book...
presently unemployed by choice, trying to decide on and move towards a fulfilling career.

i most often work as a construction worker for a stucco company. i also build scaffolding (wood and frame both).
the joke amongst all construction trades is that stucco workers are the scum of the construction world. it's true.
my typical day would go something like this.
1. wake up
2. spend ten minutes convincing myself i need to go to work.
3. drink a six pack before the work van arrives (have to drink fast  )
4. work like a dog, smoking a couple joints during spare moments.
5. take lunch. eat. have three shots of homemade moonshine
6. finish day.
7. drink a bottle of white zinfadel while cooking supper.
8. eat.
9. get shitfaced and pass out
10. wake up and drink a six pack.
 literally, it's true. work moves around so much they pay for your rent and food in exchange for moving from city to city constantly. which means the only people you know are those you work with. and the only people dumb enough to work in stucco are substance abusers.
sweet jesus i'm glad i quit...though i have about a month til the money runs out :|
haha wombing, holy CRAP
what a hedonistic lifestyle that must have been...what career could be more fulfilling than that? :P
seriously, what do you have in mind now?
hes going to be a jiggaloQuote:

I'm a sandwich artist.
... At quiznos. It's alright. Pay isn't great, but it isn't hard.
not sure ophieb.. i've been upgrading a few high school pre-reqs, and am tentatively planning on getting my BSc in nursing and working overseas eventually. starting to second guess myself lately however.
it just struck me that i'll be 23 in a week though :holyshit: , so i'll probably just do the BSN route. i'm WAY too hesitant when it comes to committing to anything, and i risk ending up a bitter 40-something construction worker unless i run with something else soon :P
i mean, sometimes it was actually fun, but hedonism gets old after four or five years..."overindulgence blunts the edge of pleasure" and all that jazz..
eventually i would LOVE to be able to survive as a musician...you have no idea how envious i am of the fact you've gotten to sing for a job! don't let circumstances or small concerns stop you from returning once the little fella's in school. sometimes a few material benefits are nothing compared to emotional/spiritual benefits :)

and docthory, if i was female, i'd already be a stripper or something :D but i wouldn't be much of a jiggalo...i don't think they like it when you start crying after, latch onto them like a drowning man holds a life preserver, and blubber "i can't believe i'm never going to see you again  "
haha :P
