Tomorrow is our grand opening and the start of plenty more headaches and lots more hard work. I think I'm up for the challenge. We did almost $400 last week. Not bad for not even being open. I even managed to make two very satisfied retail customers that will certainly be back and will spread the word. Again, we're not even open yet.
I've got my initial advertising campaign ready to launch this week. Part is geared towards all the local churches the other towards the restaurants, bars and night clubs.
I did my 4th warranty repair for VocoPro this week. We've only had that contract for about 3 1/2 weeks. And a bunch of other brands are soon to be added to the list of companies we're an authorised service center for. That's on top of the few we've already got. The biggest hassle is getting the old ones transferred over to the new business name and address.
My other tech is working out just fine so far. Things look good. And if everything works out even half as well as planned with all the contract deals, we are going to be neck deep in work and pushing our limits within the first 6 months.
Plus, I've increased the work load from my biggest wholesale account. And we're still waiting for the guy from Mag-Lite (flashlights and charging systems) to fly to town and "train" us. We're already an authorised warranty center (and dealer if we ever decide to sell their products) but, until we finalise the process, we can't actually do any warranty jobs. But when it's a done deal... man, we're going to have a steady flow of packages sent from all over the state of Florida. The pay per job is rather small but it's all about the volume :drool:
I'm both very excited and scared as hell. Hopefully I can (and will need to) get some one to work full time on the phone and front counter soon so that Don and myself can work without constantly being disturbed.
