What is DreamViews' history? Who started this and when? You know, stuff like that. I want to know all the skeletons in the closet and stuff. Like banned members, landmark topics and such. I want to hear about this elderly "Leo Volent" guy mentioned on the DV encyclopedia dramatica site. Mainly, i wanna know what it was like in the early days, like 2003 style.

The Dreamviews domain was registered about 7 years ago by a gentleman named Icedawg. He was really into lucid dreaming and put up a simple website as a class project. We've changed BB software a number of times and moved servers maybe 4 times?

The DreamViews forum was added on June 18, 2003.

We've been through lots of adventures, seen people come and go, and grown considerably.

I sure as hell didn't like him and near the time he was banned, with his pedophile threads... Eughh, I don't think many liked him.

But of course The Dream Persona is Guiding Him to Eternal Glory so he Must randomize His Capital Words!

I didn't like him much he seemed to me like his attitude was always unwelcoming and he had a very hard to understand style of posting he used the word "one" way to often to describe situations. I never read half of most of his post I still to this day am unable to tell what his religious and spiritual statous was even though 60% of his posts where in that section, reason I think alot of people liked him was

+he was able to be funny, even in serous convo

+He came off very intellectual

+he often was one of the only guys who posted in the dream interpretation thread and everyone liked to get their dreams interpreted by leo cause he sounded really smart

people disliked him because

-he was often insulting other members

-and his super long posts, that not many understood

and well he did alot of the above in the - on just about every post, I don't know about the pedophile thing though.

he has a blog somewhere online there was a topic about it awhile back.

Why does every thread in which Leo Volont is simply mentioned have to end up dedicated to him?

This is why I say that any mention of "THAT" question should be a bannable offense.

The amount of LDs one has had has nothing to do with being on the staff... I'm on the staff, and have been quite a while now because I was recognized as a mature, helpful, responsible member who is also knowledgeable in dreaming despite my actual ability to LD. You're ability to Lucid Dream has nothing to do with being on the staff. If that was the case a large percent of this forum would be staff, not to mention a large number of users who would not be responsible in the position.
