Not my rock
all i believe, all that i see.........crumbling images, no longer comforting me, scramblle to........reach higher ground, all my insanity, somthing to comfort me. take what is mine, hold what is mine. i must leave it behind, and move up to a new place now, this rock is not a place i want to be. THOUGHT i was high, THOUGHT this was real, what i thought now i disbelieve, i was wrong and this changes everything, running away, what is it, humble me, level me, or maybe hollow me insted. this planet is not the rock i want

quickly incubus funk man, who would win in a fight brandon or maynard?
-
brandon , to my understanding is a very peacefull per, and would choose not to fight maynard.
-
Maynard would use his super powers to fight and win

I think your pics were just a bit biased...
-
And I don't even have a clue who those people are, because I'm not up-to-date with the music. In fact, I'm not up-to-date with anything.
-
We can tell by the fact you still use sub silver and have the link to the old site in your sig...
-
At least Jack White actually won in a fight... so I win...

someone started a tool thread, i had to respond...
Did Tool bring about a life-changing experience to anyone else? When I started listening, I thought the music was cool and all, but I had no friggin clue what Maynard was talking about! (not that I couldn't hear him, but I couldn't comprehend the concepts) I became curious, started diggin around (in my shadow.....) and when I took a healthy dose of mushrooms, the 3rd eye squeegee came out ;)
I'm a totally different, happier, healthier person because of these guys.
Thankyoutoolforallyourinsight.
I want them back in Vancouver! Had to drive to seattle last time to see them :?

tool has changed me by opening my mind a whole lot more, it was open to begin with, but when i began listening to tool my mind became a wemon slowly opening wider for the knowlagde that tool was pouring in

Before I listened to Tool I was nothing more than another mindless sheep. I went to church, hated drugs, denounced stuff people did which I thought at the time was 'immoral', and generally just sorta followed the crowd. I always felt out of place, I always thought it really wasn't me...Then Schism started haunting me on the radio. I heard it every time I switched on the station for 4 months straight. It had to be some kind of calling. Then my dad got tickets from work for Tool's concert in Van (2001). So I figured yeah why not...Although I didn't recognize most of the songs, it was an incredible experience. The next day I asked my dad to bring me back a copy of Lateralus...The rest is history.

ohhh man i love maynard’s progression from opiate to laturalus. he starts off as just some pissed off guy like most musicians of his caliber but then does some serious self-reflection and turns his music into so much more than angst. certainly my favorite musician of all time. i have dreams where i hear whole tool albums over and over. certainly an influence.

yeah i noticed that too, very interesting.
