Terry Pratchett's Pulp Fiction reference...

I was just reading The Truth, a Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett the other day, and I noticed this.

Dibbler watched them go. It wasn't often you heard language like that in Ankh-Morpork. Most people talked without leaving gaps in their sentences, and he wondered what the word "ing" meant.

I just thought it was pretty cool of Terry Pratchett, a British author, to reference an American movie such as Pulp Fiction.

My eighth grade English teacher was OBSESSED with Terry Pratchett. She had her own little personal library thing with a whole section dedicated to him.

She was so awesome though, but I haven't seen her in a while. I've been meaning to pick up something from Pratchett, but never really got around to it. What would be a good book to start with?

I would recommend either Guards! Guards!, Mort, or Small Gods.

Yeah, I started with Small Gods. Or it may have been Lords and Ladies, I'm not positive. If you want to do it right, though, start with Colour of Magic.
