      Fill in the blank

Imagine you were browsing the site and read the following asentence aloud:
      "Then I had ___ LD!"

      Is it:
      1. AN "ell dee"
      Or 2. A "lucid dream"

I've put LD coz I say LD when I'm here on the forum.

I have to say "lucid dream" when I'm speaking to people who don't know what an LD is... although sometimes, even "lucid dream" is a bit much for them and I have to say "dream where I knew I was dreaming"

      Neither. That would make it:

      a) Then I had AN "ell dee" LD!

      or

      b) Then I had A "lucid dream" LD!

      Good point, Keeper.

Anyway, I always say an LD and sometimes write it that way too. I wonder if some people would pause to read it as "an lucid dream".

Depends on who I'm talking to.

      With you guys, it's LD.

With everybody else... well, it's really nothing, because I don't talk about it anymore. Learned that the hard way.

      So I guess it's L.D.

I actually read it "an EL DEE" but it differs, if I write an or a myself. Depends on my mood >.>
