      skittles commercial

      Ok, has anyone seen the new skittles commercial where the guy turns anything he touches into skittles? Well, only certain thigs he touches turn to skittles. He is sitting in a chair, but the chair doesn't turn into skittles. His clothes don't turn into skittles. The floor doesn't turn into skittles...its not believable at all. Wouldn't those things change too?

      Heh, that ad is funny. But, in essence, his "touch" is akin to the story of King Midas. A curse of anything he is to touch turning to gold (but Skittles instead, in this case). But "touch" isn't the same as two touching objects. It's the act of touching/taking something by hand.

      That fellow must have some serious health issues. He can only eat Skittles.

      Heh! That's terrible! I read some book as a kid about a girl... anything she touched (with her hand or mouth) turned into the most delicious chocolate. Obviously she got sick of it after a few days. When her mom found out what was going on, she started to cry... so the girl kissed her mom on the cheek and turned her into chocolate as well.

      I don't remember how the story was resolved, buuut yeah. Good lesson for kids. EAT YOUR VEGETABLES!

      I know. And what about the air? How is this magic power differentiating between "objects"? I mean, if you touch a piece of paper, the whole thing turns to Skittles, but if you tear it in half, only the half you touches turns to Skittles? But what if you tear it in half and tape it back together? Do both halves turn to Skittles? What about the tape? It makes no sense.
