The White Stripes Rock!!! Or Do They?

Hey, I've seen a couple of people in the forum who have quotes from Jack White in their signatures or White Stripes pics/artwork as their avatar.

I for one think that the White Stripes are the greatest band to ever grace this fine Earth. In fact, I drove 1000 km from Toronto to Chicago to see them play there on New Year's Eve 2003 with the Flaming Lips and a nifty little "gothic country" band called Blanche.

Alll 2 of us think they rock! Not my favorite band but they're pretty damn good, in thier simple sort of way. The drummer sucks but...somehow...it works

Im sure she's awesome, just the least skilled drummer to reach that success.(please dont hurt me

) But like i said, it goes with it perfectly. Its a pretty interesting style.

Okay a meh! line was missed on the poll....I neither dislike or love the White Stripes but they are cool. Loving the fact that there is a chick on drums. The bands' attitude in interviews and Jack's guitar improv that is totally wicked.

How is it possible i didn't see this topic!! They are awesome. Best band i've ever heard. More than half of there songs are better than any other single from any other band. Ev,so you said they suck because you've never heard of them, or you didn't vote. And meg is too a good drummer. Haven't yoo heard um let me see, ANY OF THERE SONGS, especially songs like seven nation army, dead leaves and the dirty ground, air near my fingers, and the hardest button to button. Jack White is #17 best guitarist in the world. The only thing that i disagree with on that list is that Eddie Van Halen wasn't higher. Another thing, Jack has great vocals. If you haven't heard them and you like rock then go listen to some of their music.

Yea, they are pretty good, but I believe you went a bit overboard there.They...aren't that great, but, I agree that they are an overall wonderful band, and indeed do rock.

Let's not forget their Grammy's in '04 for Best Rock Song and Best Alternative Album. As well as their nomination for Best Album of the Year.

Hey it was his wife. He changed his last name to white. And recently after they divorced he sid she was his sister. Which has already been proven isn't true.
