Drive to the closest commercial plaza near me and pretty much rob all department, grocery, and sports stores. There's also a samurai sword shop and a gun store nearby where I live, so I'd probably rob that too. I'd take everything that'll take up all my car's space two times over, haul it all back to my place, and work on a game plan.
Three days later, my house is stormed and me and my family gets gunned down by gangsters and all my junk is taken.
The End. You Fail.

If they are like the 28 weeks later ones, chance of survival = 5%. For me anyway.

i would barricade my house up and do skirmishes to shops and loot houses in the day because runners dont like the day much then at nigh sleep in my attic, easy.
My house is pretty big and sturdy, and the two main entrances can be cut of by breaking/blocking some stairs. The basement entrance is what kinda bothers me, though it does have these wooden port thingies. Nobody can break through it right away, but given enough time of hitting, it will eventually break. I could reinforce it with some material I have lying around though. There's still a pretty darn strong door, before you get into the actual basement, and another set of blockable doorways, rooms and stairs. We are self-suplying, regarding water and heat, though without power, neither will work.
My biggest problem is getting a weapon. I don't have any kinds of guns, so the only weapons I have are axes, blunt weapons and crowbars. Axes are not good, since they get stuck. Blunt weapons don't get stuck, but they are slow and heavy. Crowbars is probably the way to go, if the amount of zombies is small, ie. 2-5.
I have a lot of material to make zombieproof armor though, so my only exposed spot would be my face.
If I have my brother, my mom and my friend, I could probably set most of this up within an hour, though we would probably rather rely on finding a new location, like a farm.
I dunno which zombies would be best though. The 28 Days Later zombies are the ones I'd go for probably, since they die after 2 months, even a few weeks if they don't get any flesh to feast on. The shambler zombies are easier to flee from, but they often show up in big numbers, and they live way longer. I dunno about runners, they're pretty darn scary. Kinda like the 28 Days Later zombies.
My best bet is my own knowledge. I have the materials to make napalm-B, I know how to make acidbased bombs, which I could either combines to make napalm bombs, or maybe fragment bombs.
Hmmm...shambler zombies or quick zombies...decisions, decisions...

If they were shambler zombies I would poke fun and play the "I'm faster than you" game till I get bored. Then take a battery operated radio and a deck of cards and make my way to my neighbor's bomb shelter. That or just take off in any general direction. I live out in the middle of nowhere with lotsa fields, so chances of one of them sneaking up on me is unlikely.
Now the runners are a whole different story. I'd shit myself if I saw a mob of them coming toward me. If I'm not dead by the time I'm done being paralyzed with fear, I would head directly for the bomb shelter, because them 28 days later zombies ain't somethin' to mess with.
I would most likely quickly get in my dad's van and rush to the shops and steal all the food I could find. I would then find weapons, be it bat or knife or air rifle. I would most likely go into my parent's room with all this stuff as it's on the top floor and is the biggest room. Plus it has all the stuff to barricade the door due it having loads of drawers and cubards. I would then stay in there and eat a little a day and wait until the zombies starve.

luckly i live on a farm and have lots of guns:D i would firstly load my over and under shotgun and be carrying that at all times. all the meat in my freezer would go bad so i would get my friends in the back of my truck loaded with shotguns and go to town. in town we'd shoot all the hillbilly zombies and rob the gas station. when gotten back we would cover most of the windows and place my bro on top of the house with a .22 (scope) to pick off anything that comes near. the biggest problem about my house is its so dam big, too many windows and glass doors, it be difficult to cover. i'd try to rob a nieghbors house for pistols mainly because we only have 21 shotguns and rifles.
fun would start here. after setting the house up at noon me and my friends would get most of our guns and head into town (small town) we'd shoot every zombie in sight, if a crowd of them started to charge us...well thats why i love shotguns ---hardly have to aim at close distance---.
honestly a zombie attack would be the most intense thing that could happen to anyone. feel sorry for you city people, in the country we got guns and lots of them.
i really want to watch 28 days later, whats a "runner"? a fast zombie? what type of zombies are we talking about? im thinking about dawn of the dead zombies (slow).

The zombies in the movie is more just a bunch of people who have been infected with the "rage virus", but they are still mindless killing machines who don't stop trying to kill you after you do something as small as shoot them in the leg or arm or stomach. Basically think of em as zombies that are just as fast as humans, if not faster, but with rabies. Horrible, horrible rabies.Quote:

well first off i would head to the nearest weapons shop and rob it of everything. Then its off to the food storage and I'd go buy a water purifier and one of those water proof flashlights that you just have to shake to charge. I would have enough supplies to last awhile. Oh and i would definatly bring my poker cards and chips. Dont know how long ill be out there ;) I would gather my gear and my friends and family and go off to the lake.
I dont know if zombies can swim, but we have an Island in the middle of the lake that can easily be defended. Get at least 20-30 people out there with enough weapons and we would last forever!
If zombies can swim, then I would take all the steps i took before, except going to the lake. I would baracade the stairs to the second floor and just hide out there till they left.

Second of all, don't you all realize that not everyone will be willing to go with your so called "awesome plan"? Hell, might as well mow down your neighbors and co-workers in a hail a bullets and grenades NOW because after all, in a matter of months they won't give a hoot if you made the plan, they'll still kill you to slow down the rate at which the food and water is being depleted.

i would definatly take a shotgun. But a machine gun would be needed too since shotguns are so slow. Then i would want one of those 50 cal sniper rifles set up in the window to pick em off before they even get to the house. As for close range, I think i would want just a club or somthing. One with small spikes. Big enough to cause damage, but not so big they just get stuck in the flesh.
I would stay away from the flame throwers if i was in my house though. And the stink would be just awful :barf:
meh i dont have just one weapon of choice. The person who has just one weapon of choice would probably die anyway. :P
well then ill make some changes. EVERYONE would go get food and water storage. We would all have plenty to survive on. When supplys started to run low, we would gamble them with a good old game of poker. Suviaval of the fittest at its best :PQuote:

I can see you getting a shotgun, but an actual machine gun and a black arrow is extremely unlikely. I don't know where you live, but in USA you need insane permition, before you can even import a black arrow, let alone fire it.
Spiky weapons is a bad idea, since they get stuck in the zombies' rotten flesh. Your best choice is a fast blunt weapon that you can smash heads with. Crowbars are good too, fast and light, but takes a bit more force to damage the zombies. Also something that can slice through the enemy like a katana is a good idea. Swords are insane heavy and they get stuck.
