Yeah I have that problem occasionally. The only way I figured out how to solve it is to do a windows restore to some point a few days before the problem started. You have to have xp for that though...
I have about 2 popup ads appear whenver I change webpage. I got used to the ads for useless crap like "portable walrus polishing kits" after a while.

GET A POPUP BLOCKER!!!!
anyone who uses IE is just asking for popups, spyware and virii.
Mozilla/firefox etc are for people who aren't idiots....god damn microsoft lovers...
looks like kaniaz isnt afraid of a challenge :P
No, it looks like kaniaz is an idiot.
I on the other hand am armed with norton system works 2003, adaware, and mozilla.Yay. :P
Microsoft is too frikin vulerable. I have been infected with a hijacker called incredifind. Its basically adware that came with something i downloaded. It takes over ie making it into a search basically. Anything i type would make a search. So i uninstalled it. Went into registry and removed it, and deleted the bho module. Incredifind is gone but i have also screwed up IE. Tried everything and its impossible to fix. So both kaniaz and ffx are right. Firefox/mozilla is more user friendly and safe. And i recomend only using IE if you know what you are doing. I didn't have a clue what happened and this has made me a smarter computer user. Tho i still can't fix IE.
computers suck. :| i wish we all just had esp... that would make life better.
ohh and ps. i have norton and adware blocker stuff... to no avail.
pps.psppsss.spspspsss. jack daniels in my friend... my confidant. if that's how you spell it? yeah you know. the moon is my confidant. the stars... my friends. *gives shout out* i love you stars,
(woo, challenge. all contained herein is a joke. oidnest)
Look! Wussie! Norton system works 2003? More like norton wussy works 2003. You need ad aware to tell you when there's ads, huh? Well the ads are the pretty big boxes that appear asking you to buy viagara! And mozilla! Well, that's like a dinosaur man! And they're EXTINCT! YEAH!Quote:

If you don't use IE, get with the times! Besides, Firefox is just for wussies too. A fox on fire, how useful is that. I hope patents come and pwn firefoxes ass.
*twitches*
I work for our school district and we've been using a pop-up blocker from Google. I don't know exactly how we got it but it works very well! I'm an IE user, but our district is thinking about new browsers like Firefox.... *going to cry*
First Netscape, now IE! When will the insanity end?
Probably when I die... oh well. I think ppl place too much value on electronics....and I place too much value on DV...grr

I did the same thing with my IE. It worked really well at first, but eventually Pop-ups started popping and the ad-blocker didnt block all the ads anymore. I didnt know why. I ran spybot and adware and deleted anything else that thought i thought was spybot. pop-ups still came up and i think i ruined something to, but i dont really care since i dont use most of the programs on this computer anywayQuote:
