      Apology

I'd just like to say sorry for breaking the rules. I turn fifteen today, and am now officially allowed on the forums.

I know some people are not going to like this. I was underage for a long time (about two years), and I was lucky not to get caught. I couldn't help myself. A thirteen-year-old discovers this new and amazing thing, it's hard to pass up. I know I could have just browsed the forums without registering, but I had questions and opinions to share.

Again, sorry to have broken the rules.
Success comes to those who are not afraid of failing.

This is like going to the convenience store you've been buying smokes from for the past 2 years with a fake ID, and then coming in on your birthday when you can buy smokes legitimately and showing them your real ID.

      Happy Birthday, you devious bastard.

Yeah, I think the age allowed should be 13 and up. What is on here that isn't appropriate for a 13 year old?

KM: So? I've heard and probably used every last swear word before I was 13. And no one posts porn or something on here (that I can see in time ) so I don't see why.

Haha, at first I didn't get it, but after reading Suttsman's comment I now understand. Just like Suttsman said almost every 13 year old knows many if not all cuss words and uses them frequently. I know I did.

      Oh. I fail then.

Anyway, the limit is 15 rather because of the content that they give us, than the content we give to them.

13 year old kids are basically idiots, they can't spell, they use stupid abbreviations (asshattery like "u, idk, bbf" etc) and much else. Also, 13 year olds like to voice their opinion and post a lot. Actually most people do, but the thing is, that these kids post BEFORE they actually think about what they're saying. As in, they post and post and post, then they apologize when they get criticized and bashed by people with experience.

Bottomline: Dreamviews is a forum that consists of mostly mature people, and just about all kids below the age of 15 are either new to the internet, or they are immature.
By setting this age limit, we can keep them out so we don't have to bash them for being complete idiots, and to avoid useless and generally stupid posts.

Now, I realize that many people above the age of 15 can be immature and stupid aswell, (I could for instance mention a lot of people here on DV, that mostly spout out stupid and useless carebear/help me/I-can't-do-anything-myself posts, though I'll refrain from that) but that people below the age of 15 actually can be rather mature and experienced with the internet. An example would be Sean. You haven't been that much of a problem

Also, one of the basic tests of checking people's brains here on DV, is when people post their age. We've caught plenty of people saying they're 14 or 13, and they get banned

I hope this post wasn't too much of a blur =P

Not that I disagree with you there buddy but I've seen alot alot of 12 - 13 year olds who are decently intelligent. It's just the other part of their mind is idiotic, but yeah you are right, 13 year olds are basically idiots, but some of them are lucky enough to be educated on their typing skills, atleast.

Right, basically (I think), it's hard to explain come to think of it, I'll try anyway. I think there's the inner part of the mind that people use to say to each other "It makes you who you are", or the thing that makes people mature/immature/childish/grown up/wise and all that. And then there's the other part that is how good you are at typing, speaking verbally, maths, and all the outside skills people basically really need to learn.

But if I'm getting myself into an argument (one of the ones you like to have with me, just for a laugh), then don't even respond to me and just ignore everything I just said. I'm not really in the mood for it to be honest.
