Thread: Everlong

Hi there,

I'm glad you mention this as it is one of my all time fav's.

Whenever I feel a bit down, or need a laugh then I put this video on. (Loudly.)

I first saw the Everlong video fully a couple of years or so back at work, where I happened to mention to my workmate about a wierd music video I had seen on one of the late night music channels. I couldn't remember who it was by or anything to describe it in great detail. However as soon as I mentioned about the 'big hand', well that was it - he was in uproar!

Anyway, he described the vid a bit more - the big hand part was his favourite. So we talked about it more, but ended up in a bit of an argument about the hand / flails / logs part.

So we watched it on YouTube to have a laugh as it is one heck of a classic video. We were in stiches & is one day I will always remember because we were doing those hand impressions all day.

I crack up at the faces Dave Grohl makes, especially when he tries to get back into the dream.

The part where D.G is in bed fondling women's legs which suddenly turn to logs is a real stunner.

In answer to your question, then yes I have to agree - except it has more. The video is one whole episode, with the lot. FA's included. There is even a hypnopomic phase in it, I think, where near the end of the video after the bedroom scene you see the band playing & the visuals are slightly blurry with hues of colour, etc.

I would have to Wiki who made the video. Obviously TFF & D.Grohl would have had major part in it. Whoever it was they did their homework.

I have to say, The Foo Fighters are right up there when it comes to slick music video's.
